On February 17, 2026, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the institutional ceremony entitled “Our Longest-Lived Constitution,” held at the Congress of Deputies in Madrid to mark the 47th anniversary of the entry into force of the 1978 Constitution. Following the ceremony, the King and Queen inaugurated an exhibition at the Exhibition Hall.
The exhibition, “The Spanish Constitution of 1978,” features the original copy of the Constitution, as well as the copies used during the oath-taking ceremonies of the then Prince of Asturias in 1986 and the Princess of Asturias in 2023. The copy used at the Proclamation of His Majesty the King is also on display, together with other documents preserved by the Archives of the Congress and a selection of images from the constitutional process and the 47 years since its promulgation.

حذفA really beautiful suit. Perfect fit, perfect style and perfect length. Others may disagree, but to me the Queen is always dressed fittingly for the occasion. Whether it may be a formal one like today or informal where her strong sense of fashion comes to the fore and often includes something modern or fun.

ردحذفThe navy suit is in a classic, timeless style and it fits beautifully. However, Letizia has an uncanny knack of making her outfits dull. I wish she would have accessorized the suit with a whimsical scarf or pearl brooch.
ردحذفI agree with you, the classic suit is beautiful, but she is the queen and should give her outfits a little bit of sparkle. The role of queen consort is a profession and involves hard work, right down to the sartorial obligations.
