Is the family not happy about this weeding? Because nobody really looks dressed for a joyous occasion except HRH Princess Anne.
The Brides dress is lovely, as are the girls dresses.

Happy to say: Catherine looks lovely, from top to toe. For me, this has not been the case for quite a while, but this very feminine line and the hat (not one of those silly British fascinators, a real hat and as a consequence, hair is back!) are really very convincing and very pretty. - Sophie: at last, good shoes! The bag is also good, for a beach outing namely. Not with this dress and for this occasion. Sorry but I don't really like her dress, the high closed neckline ist just that, without any decorative value, and the fluffs on the sleeves do not make it better. Also no: the country-home-curtain fabric/pattern Beatrice has chosen to wear, with a nonsensical headpiece. Who else? I like Camilla's coat and dress, we have seen this scalloped design element lately on her and it is pretty. And her hem length is excellent, it does make a huge difference! Who else? Nobody - really, the prettiest one is here Catherine for me.

The shawl because it was unexpectedly cold. The gloves because that is part of Anne’s dress formality.

    The bride looks lovely.
I love her dress, the column silhouette instead of bouffant is perfect for one as slender as she is, the use of lace over a stylish square-necked under-dress complete with square train attached from the waist which implies that it is removable, and her simple scalloped veil. She looks beautiful. I was wondering whether she would have selected a tiara from her now mother-in-laws personal collection, but it appears that she didn't, and in a way, I'm glad that she didn't and chose to go her own way.
I also like Kate's look. Her crisp straw hat is lovely and I'm glad to see that, like her MIL, she chose a low-key neutral colour of outfit likely not to draw more attention than already inherent away from the bride whose day this is anyway. As for the style of dress, it is another variation of the same styles Kate has been wearing lately; same can be said of Camilla - a variation of her regular dress-and-coat 'uniform', though Camilla's version is prettier today.
Other lovely items of note are the three young attendants, in their high necked Wickstead dresses, now sisters in a blended family, and Beatrice's green dress.

Things I did not like include Princess Anne's hat (looks so ordinary on a day that she should be celebrating with just a style), those awful black gloves on a day like today, and the heavy downpours just as the couple were exiting the church. Surely they could have incorporated some kind of canopy or covering as a makeshift contingency in the planning of the wedding? But the rain certainly didn't dampen anyone's spirits from looking at the happy smiling faces, and since wedding rain is considered a blessing to many, I join in wishing the happy couple and their girls the very best.

Beautiful wedding gown, i like the lace, almost like PoW's wedding dress,
Sophie is a big surprise showing more leg than usual, although she wore the same outfit at the Palace tea party 4 weeks ago!

Catherine, a very blunt dress, but i understabd she wanted focus on the bride. Beatrice;s dress is lovely for the ocassion. Eugiene did not even try!

Gorgeous wedding dress which she wears beautifully, but I’m not a fan of the face veil when you’re divorced and have a child. Catherine looks amazing! MR

  8. Wonderful photos! I have no problem with divorcees marrying in a white dress but I do think the veil is too much.
Anne looks gorgeous, Catherine and William are both very elegant. Zara looks good too!

How beautiful. I hope their marriage is very happy. I particularly like the girls’ bridesmaid dresses. They are very beautifully designed, in all simplicity, except the high neck is the detail that makes them exceptional. Very clever design. Catherine’s dress and hat are beautiful.

What a lovely day, bringing the family together celebrating the day.
Harriet - I was surprised she went for bright white, with it being a second marriage, but it was a gorgeous creation from EW. I wondered if the lace top(jacket)could be removed for the evening celebrations.
The Bridesmaids all looked lovely. A beautiful blended family.
PoW - I’m not a fan of the color it washes her out. Other than that it was a suitable choice for the day.
DoE - Oh how I wish Sophie would invest in good undergarments and a stylists. Without the right undergarments the look is ruined and shapeless.
Camilla - I liked this look. It’s her true and tested look and it works well for her.
Zara - Zara was the standout. The style and color of the dress plus the silver accessories was stunning.
Eugenie- Is in the last few months of her pregnancy. I’m sure she was opting for comfort over style.
Beatrice - A good choice for. Since her marriage she really has stepped up her style.
Lady SC - So lovely to see her there. In her usual monotone choice.
Here’s hoping the whole family got to enjoy the day once behind closed doors. I imagine all the children were also there.
    Lowri.

I like the wedding dress. I knew it was Emilia Wickstead as soon as I saw the bridesmaids dresses. The daughters looked fantastic. Lovely. The bridesmaids dresses are one of Emilia's better designs probably because they're simple. I wonder who did the flower head pieces. I've never seen the back that way. The wedding dress could have been two separate dresses. A nice high necked lace and a simple shift dress. I like the dress but it looks a little odd. Nice tiara and earrings though. Overall she looked good and happy. The King made it. I thought he would. It would have been weird to miss his nephew's wedding. Camilla is wearing her usual style. I don't like that coat. The POW look was pretty good. The Roland Mouret would have looked great without the belt. I don't like the hat at all with that dress. The Yorks both looked pretty good. I like they coordinated with their husbands. I like Princess Eugenie's coat, hat and purse. Her hair looks great long. Princess Beatrice's dress is nice. DOE in a Beulah London. It's fine. Look at that split. That purse. Lady Natasha one of the owners of Beulah was there and wore one of her most worn designs. Forgot Princess Anne. How? A hat from the 80s and a top that looks good from the 90s probably. I don't know about that skirt. I can imagine how many dresses and skirt suits she has. She looked happy and I'm pretty sure I saw his father with the new wife or girlfriend. Most important the bride and groom looked happy. Hopefully the blended family gets along well and it's a long and happy marriage.

The bride is lovely. I am a traditionalist in some regards, and in my opinion, her dress would have looked more elegant and more appropriate for a second wedding without the veil, without the train, and in a light cream or off-white color. The top of the dress might have looked a little better with less-square lines or thinner straps. It probably looked good, though, once the lace jacket over it was removed. The loaner tiara and earrings look very nice (although it seems a bit perplexing to borrow those given the jewels the Royal Family has access to).

Catherine looks very nice, albeit in rather bland colors. Not sure I would have chosen a boater style hat for a wedding.

Beatrice’s dress is a nice style and fit. The pattern on it isn’t my favorite, but she and her husband look cutely color-coordinated.

I liked Zara’s blue outfit (not shown in the pictures currently posted here) the best. Sophie’s blue dress is pretty, although those large, ruffled sleeve ends would drive me crazy, and maybe a less deep side slit would look a bit better.

I read elsewhere Anne has had her hat since the early 1980s. Whatever her system is for cataloguing and storing her clothes and accessories must be phenomenal to keep items in good condition for that long!!

One of the most beautiful wedding gowns I have ever seen. Harriet looks stunning. King Charles and Camilla look well matched in their attire and I like Camilla's coat very much. I love Princess Anne's hat and really dislike Euguenie's shoes - if you can't wear heels , then find some attractive ballet flats.

What a privilege to watch this wedding and see all the guests and of course the bride and groom. Love the Wedding gown the new Mrs Phillips looked stunning. The girls' dresses are simple but beautiful great fit as well. Camilla was dressed beautiful and so the PoW as well. Sophie and Zara ranked the same way. So nice to see Beatrice and Eugenie there with their husbands. Very nice Tiara. I wish both the best and their children. Happiness love and support for each other.

Starting with the new Mrs Phillips, her dress was elegant, stylish and had slight vibes, of the famous Grace Kelly dress.

Queen Camilla looked elegant, as, ofcourse, did the Princess of Wales. While the dresses themselves are lovely, I was disappointed by the preponderance of pale——yellow, cream, blush. Not only Queen Camilla, and the Princess Royal but the Princess of Wales and Lord Snowdon’s partner.
It was great to see the York Princesses there. Princess Beatrice looked lovely and poor Princess Eugenie, in late pregnancy, did her best
It was amazing to see Mia Tindall, all grown up, including heels and hat. Where have the years gone? And nice to see members of the late Princess Margaret’s family attending too
Pity the weather was unseasonable but hope they had a great day and wishing the couple many happy years ahead

The wedding dress is lovely- very elegant, however, for a second wedding and at her age not really a good choice. It seems like she went all out- veil, matching white bridesmaid dresses, plus a tiara etc. The couple seemed very happy so that is important. Please note this is my opinion so no naysayers lol.

The Princess of Wales looked fantastic, dress, hat and jewelry!
    Cheers!

Not a fan of the wedding dress. It looks like the lace was added separately for modesty purposes. Way too much heavy lace, veil and train are also far too heavy.

The couple look happy and the girls are beautiful. The dress isn't to my taste but she looks happy in it. The tiara and earrings are nice. One of the better jewelry outings in a while. I know it's borrowed and I don't care. It's lovely. I like seeing a new tiara and substantial earrings. Her pulled back hair luckily suits her and that's a big bun. The POW in the Roland Mouret. This dress didn't need a belt. In my opinion those hats go with very few outfits and this is not one of them. Princess Beatrice looks good. The dress is okay and I like the shoes and purse. Edo is matching in yellow and green. Princess Eugenie looks nice. I like the coat better than the dress but her hair looks great and she's wearing a good hat. Nice purse. DOE in a Beulah London. Good color and that's it. Lady Sarah Chatto I like everything but the ugly skirt. I wish it was a plain black skirt. Zara with a horrible hat and ugly dress that looks similar to the one the POW wore but with puffy sleeves. Princess Anne and that hat. The top she's wearing is nice. She looks happy and I'll leave it at that. Not a lot of the cousins from the looks of it. They look happy and the weather didn't love too bad. Hope they have a happy and blessed marriage.

For me, standing out are the queen and Zara: both extra ordinary good.
Lady Chatto: always very tastefull in her own special style.
The bride is too much an innocent bride for a woman her age. For me a good light coloured dress would have been better and can be made festive too.

I’m surprised at the number of criticisms re a bride wearing what she wants for her day! For many years now this ( in most of the cultures of those reading this blog) has been up to the bride: her choice of partner, her choice of wedding styling including outfit . And the guests role is to ooh and ah at her choice and love her for it! I’m quite sure that the guests at this wedding did just that … enjoying the white, the lace, the veil … because she wanted it and looks beautiful in it. How can we judge these days when the marriage model has moved so far from the original model (one virgin man to one virgin woman, chosen by the families, primarily out of necessity )? I say just enjoy the fact yet we were allowed a little look into an otherwise private wedding.

The bride looks stunning but indeed for a second marriage it's maybe a bit too much with the veil and so. I was really surprised that the tiara was a loan from a jeweller. Huh? I can imagine that Ann didn't want to give one of hers because her son is not a member of the royal family nor does he has a title. So why should his bride wear a tiara. Think it's against any royal protocol.
