On November 5, 2025, Princess Charlene of Monaco visited Collège Charles III for the second edition of the Creative Jersey Contest, which will determine the design to be worn by Monaco’s U16 national rugby sevens team at the International Tournament in Dubai at the end of November. As President of the Monegasque Rugby Federation, the Princess met with the students and signed their designs.
Organized by the Monegasque Rugby Federation, in partnership with the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation and the Direction de l’Éducation Nationale, de la Jeunesse et des Sports, the contest brought together nearly 160 students from grades 6 to 9 at Collège Charles III.
Guided by their art teachers, the students spent five weeks designing a jersey featuring symbols representing both Monaco and South Africa, as well as the logos of the Federation and the Foundation. The overall winner, Yohann Fonkoa, a 9th-grade student, will see his design worn by Monaco’s U16 national team in Dubai.

I love the simplicity of Princess Charlene's style and this is not exception. The jacket, while a boxy design, fits quite well in the first photo and the pants hang perfectly on her legs. Her only adornment is her beautiful smile and tiny earrings. Nothing more is needed - no flashy bright colors that screams "look at me". Just her quiet and confident radiance.
ReplyDeleteI think she’s long dressed with this simplicity, even before she built her confidence. Very expensive clothes but little jewellery or embellishment. I think she’s very good at choosing what suits her and having this consistent style you describe. For a while that included many outfits that were too androgynous for my taste, however now with the softer hairstyle I think everything suits her. I would personally love to see more colour and frills and dresses etc … but also admire the simple clean lines she prefers and of course her choice counts most of all (not mine?!?!).
DeleteShe look lovely in this double breasted jacket and jeans fits her well. No better way to make young people comfortable than an elevated jean look. Her brother looks very nice in his sports jacket, he seems like such a great support for her.
ReplyDeleteCharlene looks beautiful here with her hair and makeup; and the jacket is a nice style and colour -- but, it does not fit her properly; the cut is not suited for her shape. Jackets and blazers usually look just right on Charlene, but for me, this one is not her best choice. Lyra
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful blazer, the model ensemble I prefer, especially worn with the colored pants, this looks very effective.
ReplyDeleteClassic blazer. Hope she gets heaps and heaps of use out of it.
ReplyDelete$6100 for the jacket, Italian made. Looks gorgeous and for the price, hope she wears it a lot. I think we rarely see Charlene repeating outfits but something classic and well made like this can offer a lifetime of wear. I really hope that she is happy and thriving.
ReplyDeletei think these items are given to her for free, no woman from humbled beginings would spend that much!
DeleteHello Anon 17:13
DeleteI find it interesting that you say Princess Charlene is a woman from humble beginnings.
She is a person born in a colonial family in Rhodesia, Africa with paternal heritage going back to Europe, namely Zerrenthin in northern Germany.
Having worked in the “rag trade” and seeing how the system works, I think most of her clothes but not all, are given to her on the agreement that she wears them with the option to keep them, or not, afterwards.
It is very cheap publicity for designers and fashion houses.
@deadeggs, Anonymous 17:13 is right in saying Princess Charlene is from humble beginings. Though born in present day Zimbabwe, and grew up South Africa (I was studying there at the time of her dating Albert and eventual marriage), her family were lower middle class. She gained financial independence through her swimming, and now of course as Her Serene Highness has considerable wealth. She can afford to spend her/their money (let's not forget she recovered in Switzerland at a clinic costing more than 40k euros per week so 6.1k USD should be peanuts for her). It has also been more than 14 years since she became a princess so I think her background shouldn't be somehting that influences her spending now.

She looks great in that suit and the updo is flattering. Best of all, though, is the way Charlene connects with the people she talks to. I'm very happy that she seems to be doing so well.
ReplyDeleteOn point.

Why do people think she would only wear this jacket once for this function. She might wear it to pickup her kids, go visit her friends, go shopping or for a walk. We do get notified
ReplyDeleteShe might. She might not.
DeleteAparte del traje, del todo correcto, Ella, se muestra más radiante que nunca. Felicidades por la Princesa Charlene, pues no le debe haver sido, un camino fácil. Su sonrisa, genuina y su actitud, los mejores complementos.
ReplyDeleteI do not think Princess Charlene has to wear clothes on loan. The Prince is a billionaire and can very well afford her beautiful clothes!
ReplyDeleteAlles hängt von einer guten finanziellen Lage ab. Was sie brauchen, hängt von meinem Seelenfrieden ab.
