The Duchess of Edinburgh Visits the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst

On November 5, 2025, the Duchess of Edinburgh visited the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where she attended her namesake event, The Duchess of Edinburgh Competition — an annual military skills competition for her affiliated regiments and military organisations. The competition is designed to promote cooperation and camaraderie among military units, and the Duchess attended the event to present the trophy to the winning team.

Also known as The Countess of Wessex Cup, the competition involves members of the regiments and organisations taking part in a series of physically and mentally demanding challenges, including navigation exercises, obstacle courses, and foreign weapons firing.
