On November 6, 2025, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden attended the Gustav Adolf Academy’s annual gala at Uppsala Castle. Each year, to promote scholarly research, the Royal Gustav Adolf Academy presents a number of prizes and awards. The award ceremony takes place during the Academy’s Annual Meeting on November 6.
The Royal Gustav Adolf Academy (Kungliga Gustav Adolfs Akademien) in Uppsala is one of Sweden’s 18 royal academies and is dedicated to the study of Swedish folklore. The Academy was founded on November 6, 1932, marking the 300th anniversary of the death of King Gustavus Adolphus at the Battle of Lützen.

Gosh what a nice cranberry colour that suits her skin tone so well. Beautiful fit, love velvet.
ReplyDeleteAgree ! Nice neckline too.
DeleteMy same first reaction! Victoria looks wonderful! MR
DeleteA very popular color lately
Delete- Sofia wore it on the same day
- Letizia wore on the same day too
- Beneditke wore it two days ago
- Mary had a similar one six days ago
Of course it is popular. It is the most fashionable colour this Winter.
DeleteBurgundy, wine red, watever is a colour that comes back regularly during Winter. This year it was already fashionable in thinner fabrics during Summer. I bought a beautiful burgundy leather handbag years ago. I wear it again and everybody ask me "where did you buy this beautiful handbag ?".
Maybe her dress is a bit long. See the first photo.
ReplyDeleteShe is lifting her skirt to walk up stairs. It is perfectly normal and necessary. The gown is hemmed perfectly in the third photo.
DeleteCheck out the 3rd photo, dress is not to long.
DeleteIt’s a formal ball gown, created to deliberately sweep along the floor with a train.
DeleteWalking up the stairs give that impression
DeleteNella terza foto non si direbbe, forse c’è un po’ di strascico.
DeleteVestito stupendo.
You appear to be seeing the small train on this lovely formal gown. She has lifted it to ascend the stairs.
DeleteGreat dress in a lovely colour and without any high constricting neckline. CP Victoria looks lovely
ReplyDeleteThis rich colored cranberry gown looks superb. Love the style of this gown, she wears this style beautifully. Love the velvet fabric. Her shoe color is perfect choice. Love her earrings.
ReplyDeleteLovely dress and a handsome couple! Just trying to think of the last time she wore her hair down in public…has it been years?
ReplyDeleteIn public it was in may 2018
DeleteAnd for the portrait of her wedding anniversary in June 2020 her hair was down
I think she deliberately keeps a work hairstyle so that she can have an at home hairstyle as a defining line between the two in a very public role.
DeleteVictoria knows how to dress for an occasion. When she needs to be professional and practical, or when she needs to be simply sensational.
ReplyDeleteClassic beautiful dress!
ReplyDeleteWaouh, ce velours de couleur Bordeaux est superbe sur Victoria qui a lissé joliment ses cheveux pour en faire un petit chignon torsadé !
ReplyDeleteShe looks beautiful. The color suits her perfectly!
ReplyDeleteLovely shimmering soft velvet, she looks beautiful. And yes, open neckline is a must for her. In the right outfit, she is like good wine, getting better with time.
ReplyDeleteWonderful!
ReplyDeleteSuperbe robe d’une belle couleur, qui sied à la princesse et épouse à merveille sa silhouette.
ReplyDelete-Astrid.
I wish I had a low forehead and could wear my hair like Victoria. Her hair always looks tidy and perfect, not to mention luxuriant!
