On November 6, 2025, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden attended the Gustav Adolf Academy’s annual gala at Uppsala Castle. Each year, to promote scholarly research, the Royal Gustav Adolf Academy presents a number of prizes and awards. The award ceremony takes place during the Academy’s Annual Meeting on November 6.

The Royal Gustav Adolf Academy (Kungliga Gustav Adolfs Akademien) in Uppsala is one of Sweden’s 18 royal academies and is dedicated to the study of Swedish folklore. The Academy was founded on November 6, 1932, marking the 300th anniversary of the death of King Gustavus Adolphus at the Battle of Lützen.
