Ummm, QM nice casual look, a bit clingy, though she has the figure to pull it off. PA like this suit with the open jacket. QS always the elegant lady.

I think that’s a very good summary of Maxima’s outfit: clingy but she pulls it off. I think it’s Natan which explains the odd colour, but again it works for her. It’s probably very comfortable for a day sitting listening.

Maxima: She (re)wears it well. Some may argue it's a difficult colour to like and wear, but Maxima strikes just the right balance of business smart and casual (i.e. not too formal) for this style of ensemble so the colour is not an issue.
CP Amalia: Beautiful colour and modern suit style, (wide trousers) but not the best for her in my opinion. We've seen her recently wear suits that are far more striking and better fitting. However given her youthful age and that the attention is not on her in these meetings, she looks fine.
Mathilde: This is a rewear if I recall correctly, and if the last outing of this dress is anything to go by, the colour, style and fit are perfect for her.
Sylvia: Tried, true and always successful jacket and dress combo, in nice colours.

Yikes, another awful colored outfit, and again with the stringy hair. Pull it back, low pony tail, or cut it. The daughter looks as if she is going to 'take down', the Queen of Sweden. :)

Yes, it looks like Amalia is pushing herself up by holding a Queen in her 80-s by the shoulders.

Love this colour for Amalia, and the top beneath, but I do feel the trousers are a bit too wide and make her look larger. She is a gorgeous young lady.
Maxima - I'm not keen on the colour and feel the drapery of this top makes her look quite messy. But as with most things she manages to carry it off. Thought the cut of her suit yesterday was superb. This woman has a 'walk'...I'm not sure what it is but there is some sort of elegance with how she moves. An abundance of confidence perhaps!
Mathilde - gorgeous dress and looks ever the aristocratic lady, she is always so well turned out and tidy. It is hard to believe however that she is younger than Maxima when seeing them side by side.
Silvia - simple, timeless, good colour for her. I saw a video of her meeting the Dutch where she joked ' I have to grow!' Lol.

Totally agree 5:21, Maxima has real elegance in how she holds herself and moves. I don’t particularly like these clothes but she can carry them off because she has this elegance.

    3. What do you mean with it's hard to believe that she is younger than Maxima? If you see them in close-up you can easily see that they're about the same age! Both of them are no longer the young women they once were when we first knew them.

I can only speak for the Belgian delegation. Queen Mathilde is accompanied by body gards. People from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. On Belgian websites one cannot only see better her dress by Safiyaa in which she is gorgeous but also the company of Belgian prime minister, other Belgian ministers, etc...

    2. It´s the time when numerous royals and high-profile politicians flock to NY, so I´m sure there´s plenty of security. I like this better than the exclusiveness and out-of-the-public-eye style in Davos etc., but I too thought that it is a risk for them to casually walk along the streets of New York.

Do you mean snipers on the roofs ? One does not have them only in America (New York) you know. In Brussels when President Obama came to visit us they were on every building surrounding his hotel. The body guards walked alongside the car where he was sitting in, although it was a complete bullit free car which came with him from the States. In every European country these days we have the same sort of security when high profile people are visiting us.

What I like best here is the peach colour that Catharina-Amalia is wearing. It suits her complexion and blonde hair perfectly; also, it is neither too dramatic
I also love Sylvia in those tones of crisp, positive pink; and Mathilde's dress is impeccable.
Maxima's colour choice is one that shows the challenges of wearing a shade so very muted. She usually pairs this colour with some contrast either of texture or colour near her face, such as bold bright-coloured jewellery, or accessories in a different colour. If she'd done that in this instance, I think this outfit would be more successful. Lyra

Paloma.

When I compare the comments of this blog with the comments on the Dutch blogs, Queen Mathilde receives better comments in The Netherlands. While Queen Maxima and CP Amalia receive better comments here than in The Netherlands. Strange.
It is also strange that when Queen Mathilde wore this dress for the first time she received a lot of good comments everywhere. This time it is not Natan but an English brand and I think she is gorgeous in that dress. CP Elisabeth has a pink dress of the same brand and it suited her very well too. The dresses fitted both royal ladies good.

I think the Dutch are a bit frustrated with some specific points of the Dutch royal family (long & frequent holidays, not to mention the hair,...). I also think the frustration comes from an act of love. Like it could be so much better with a few very simple tweaks, and the not happening of the tweaks causes the frustration. But all in all: Maxima is always upbeat, polite and caring, she knows what she's talking about and she has great connection and chemistry with people. That makes a great queen in my opinion.

Try curtseying to a small queen in very high heels! I’m sure her gesture was completely appreciated by Silvia and is correct etiquette. So hard to be young and be photographed and criticised at every turn; let’s leave her to grow into her role without criticism.

I like the outfits of Queen Silvia and Mathilde - simple elegance.
The ladies from the Netherlands - again a mess. My reasons for this rating: again messy hair (both) plus oversized clothes - it looks strange, especially Amalia looks drowned in this wrinkled rose costume.
I like Mrs. Zelenska the most - the first lady of Ukraine, who sits opposite Queen Mathilde: she also has long hair, but beautifully combed, healthy. Of course, her outfits are dark and understated - she can't play with fashion when her country is fighting an aggressor.

I love Queen Mathilde dress. The color is very flattering as is the cut and style.
Queen Maxima she seems to struggle with hair styling, unless it’s an evening event. She might consider putting her hair up so that it could look a little tidier. I don’t think the choice of clothing is particularly flattering either.
Amalia on the other hand looks pretty in her Max Mara suit. I like the color and the relaxed trouser.
Queen Silvia always well turned out.

This is another case when a set of pics just captures single moments in time and can't fully portray the demeanor and gestures of all the royals involved.
I saw a video clearly showing Pss Amalia's perfect courtseying (it took just a few seconds) and no holding onto Q.Silvia is detectable.
On the other hand, Q.Maxima's outfit looks fluid and sitting well all over her majestic figure when walking across the streets.
My only ,very minor quibble is Amalia's pantsuit size.
It runs a tad too oversized on her.
The suit could have been more fitted but this is just my preference.
    Regardless , she looks beautiful.
What I found most striking is that unique, usual confidence Q.Maxima has to herself and the engaging , friendly yet professional attitude towards the other guests.
She knows how to hold the scene, no matter the type of event she is set to attend and the overall context.
