    1. I agree with every word @Ava Pittman, she looks gorgeous. I hope her dress' back side is similar with the original dress on the model.

Charlene looks stunning from the front, but I wonder if she had the back of the dress remain that way on her version of the dress. I like the assymetrical back as shown on the model, but it also looks like a bedsheet hastily gathered to one side that has been secured with a large pin or something. I think the assymetrical effect could have been achieved in a more refined way for a Saab gown.

Anon 9:13 love your critique of the backside of the gown. One wonders if the deadline was looming and the designer thought s/he may get away with the safety pin “avant garde” look at the back as the front is superb.

Breathtaking. No-one does minimalism like Charlene. Amazing how a gala look so simple and so plain can result in such beauty. Lyra

Amazing! Princess Charlene looks elegant, poised and chic. Hairstyle, earrings, perfect-fitting gown and makeup all to absolute perfection! Charlene knows the importance of just the right jewelry and minimal. No need for heavy broaches or jeweled necklaces just screaming for attention. The "vintage" hairstyle reminds me of something her mother-in-law, the late Princess Grace would have worn. Very sweet.

    Wooowww!!
Spectacular and glamourous look from P. Charlene!
She looks like the counterpart of F.L.Melania, same statuesque and stratospheric body, same goddess- like looks, same guaranteed breathtaking effect.
They both let their bodies talk through their eye- catching fashion picks.
The only difference I can see is in the style each of them seems to favour: more
"adventurous", bold and avant- garde for Melania, more classic and sophisticated for Charlene.
I very much like Charlene's hairstyle and makeup execution as well as her subtle, minimal jewellery.👍👍👏

Interesting comparison. They are both statuesque, have access to millions for their fashion and upkeep, and have had an undeniable extraordinary number of visits to plastic surgeons. Very beautiful - but looking nothing like they did before they came near the money. Also, they have persevered with difficult men (by all accounts, both serial cheaters) and must have incredible resilience to cope with that, and while I can’t see Melanie’s personality through the press, I think I see that Charlene is a soft and sweet person and I love to see her happy.

I was talking about fashion choices from these two ladies.
It is only up to them to choose the way they want to live their lives.
I would have never ventured to put them down bringing in the surgery and cheaters argumentations.
Don't you have any well informed points to make as far as their fashion choices are concerned?
You are supposed to be commenting on a fashion blog and giving a clothes appreciation, not to be writing as a gutter press correspondent, no?
I reckon your comment as off topic, rude and utterly unfair in this context.
Sorry, I speak up my mind , will always do.

@14:27 that IS an interesting comparison. I know the other commenter was talking about fashion similarities (although she did add the curiously raunchy “ let their bodies talk ” note?!) but I like how you’ve continued the thinking there.

I wonder if they ever met, would they be friends? Much in common? I agree they have both made so many changes to their facial structure that they are unrecognisable. Also very statuesque and they wear some really beautiful outfits. This white dress is absolutely superb for Charlene and having just the touch of jewellery (well, huge diamond statement earrings!) really allows it to sing. Would have been interesting to see the back of the dress on Charlene.

Everyone give words different meanings according to what they have on their minds.
Being rauchy has nothing to do with my thoughts when writing my previous comment.
I meant that both ladies's fashion choices showcase their beautiful bodies and they both know what best suits their body shapes, which I had already noted on my posts relating to Melania's visit to the UK.
That's a really cutting remark meant to cast a shadow on me.
Now I know to what extent my words can be manipulated to make me say what never crossed my mind.
I see people here talking about off- topic things but this remark on me is truly shameful.
      Bleah.

      This confirms what I think.
When some people have no fashion argumentations to talk about , they resort to whatever excuse to put someone down
I can't get how the blog administrators can tolerate some derailed comments of this kind.
This blog is badly deviating from its initial purpose: talking about royals' fashion.
I don't like all that anymore.

I join the chorus of enthusiastic admirers - this outfit is amazing. Charlene is proof that elegance loves simplicity, clean lines and sophistication. I see her as the exact opposite of Maxima from the Netherlands, who wears a lot of mega-sized ornaments and accessories, a lot of flashy patterns, a lot of makeup, everything shiny. (Please do not take my words as an insult to her person - it is not my intention, it is just the result of my observation and fashion opinion.)

      Dear Anon 18:49
We evaluate fashion and in the evaluation there is ALWAYS some judgment. Why can't we compare the styles of two ladies? I think many people are unnecessarily hypersensitive to criticism and comparison. Once you must not say this, then other things.. There is a trend of "snowflakes" in society that crumble with every negative evaluation. I believe that Maxima is a kind and intelligent woman, but I do not like her sense of fashion and I will not be afraid to express my opinion fashion criticism of anyone
My parents experienced the communist regime, when they could not express themselves freely, so we value freedom of speech very much.

@Stephanie: Of course, these ladies are completely different, you are right and we all have our personal observations and opinions. But the problem is: by comparing, being judgmental begins, on the basis of one's own preferences so that we kind of write about ourselves. And this is not really fair, the comments are not about ourselves with our preferences and comparisons. - This must be the reason that another well-known royal blog deletes posts containing not only body-related remarks but also comparisons and talk about people not mentioned in the original post.

Bit late to this post, but I see P the Original has been cutting others down again. Jeepers. As for Charlene, superb in this white dress - I wonder as others do it she altered the back of if it were left in the same “just pinned” style. From the front: perfection.
