On September 22, 2025, Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the 69th Ballon d’Or ceremony at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. This year, the Sócrates Prize was awarded to the Xana Foundation, which supports children with serious illnesses and their families. Princess Charlene presented the 2025 award to Sira Martínez, Patron of the Xana Foundation. On this occasion, Princess Charlene wore a cady long dress by Elie Saab.
Since 1956, France Football has organized the Ballon d’Or®, the world’s most prestigious individual trophy in football, recognizing the best male and female players of the season. As a leading advocate for athletes’ social commitment, Peace and Sport, in collaboration with L’Équipe and the France Football Group, created the Sócrates Award to honor the best solidarity initiatives carried out by committed football players.
