King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark are undertaking a three-day official visit to the Faroe Islands aboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog. On the second day of their visit, King Frederik and Queen Mary, accompanied by Princess Josephine, visited several locations on Suðuroy, the southernmost of the Faroe Islands. In Vágur, they toured a local technology workshop and the region’s folk high school for sports.
Later in the day, the King, Queen, and Princess Josephine zipped across a deep gorge on a zipline at Vágseiði, surrounded by the island’s dramatic scenery—where the sea meets steep cliffs. The visit offered the royal family a chance to experience the island’s striking natural landscape and engage with local activities.
Josephine is a very pretty girl!
ReplyDeleteJosephine resembles more and more young P. Benedikte.
DeleteHelmets please.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant. What a fantastic family and a very cool king. Loved these photos and think they are so lucky to be there. - Mary
ReplyDeleteMoi, cette jolie Josephine me fait craquer.
ReplyDeleteI love the large hoop earrings Princess Josephine is wearing, what a beauty she is.
ReplyDeleteLove the casual clothes.
Well said, Ava.
DeleteP.Josephine is a true beauty, she looks like a model.
Her hair is amazing.
The Faroe Islands truly offer breathtaking landscapes.
It roughly takes two hours to get there from Copenhagen Airport and about two days by ship (depending on a number of factors).
Faroe= the sheep islands, as there are so many sheep!
The royal family's stay has been- or was if it's over already- once again a striking experience.
Wonderful costumes and appropriate trekking gears for their excursions, especially the bulky boots, which are required to walk on the uneven surface of the islands.
Great to see them zipping across that deep gorge.
Calls to mind some enchanting landscapes in Norway.
Hugs to you 👋
P the original. Yes, Ps Josephine, is and she reminds me of her mother, stunning. Thank you for the information on the Faroe Islands. Thats a bit of a trip two days by ship and two hours flying, that's so interesting. Hope your well. Hugs.
DeleteHello, Ava, my pleasure!
DeleteLast year I tended to think that P.Josephine's
resembled model Elle Mac Pherson but now I can see that she is increasingly favoring her mother's facial traits and that's truly stunning.
Yes, It normally doesn't take much to get to the Faroe Islands from Karlstrup, though It all depends on the weather conditions.
The voyage by ship could be a bit more challenging.
I am used to the severest and most demanding situations so voyages are fine with me but once I was on a majestic ship : departed from Copenhagen Nyhavn - destination: Bergen, Norway...
Well, it was kinda of a nightmare for so many passengers (seasickness) given the strong winds and sea currents.
After disembarkeing, those poor passengers were still pale and a bit frightened.
Anyway, the sights throughout the voyage were really spectacular.
I am fine , thank you.
Hope you are doing well
Hugs👋
* doesn't take long

Don't they have summer in Denmark?
ReplyDeleteGeography my dear! They are on a visit to the Faroe Islands. So they are quite up north. These islands are roughly at the same latitude like Anchorage in Alaska. Maybe that helps to get the idea of the climate there. Though it’s less icy thanks to the Gulf Stream, these islands are known for rainfall & humidity, fast changing weather and cold temperatures even in summer.
DeleteAll the best :-)
Missy
It’s the Faroe Islands, not Denmark.
DeleteSummer doesn't mean the same everywhere.
DeleteA short look at the map where the Faroe Islands are will help.
DeleteHere in Denmark is summer but not in Faroe Island.
DeleteWow, most interesting question!
DeleteIf you consider that I got soaked tò my skin & bones many times in Copenhagen in July, you can see that summer is a pretty moot definition.
DeleteSame goes for places in northern Germany (I got soaked tò my bones at Rostock Airport too!), in Norway, in Sweden , etc.
Continental summer Is variable though heat picks can be reached sometimes.
Soo much love between them!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Royal-Team ;-))
