On June 20, 2025, King Frederik and Queen Mary, together with Crown Prince Christian, attended the opening of the exhibition "Kongebarn" (Royal Child) at Koldinghus. Count Ingolf and Countess Sussie of Rosenborg were also present at the opening. Royal Child centers on three main themes—family, school, and play—and offers insight into what it has been like to grow up in the Danish royal family from the time of King Christian IV to the present day.
Among the objects on display are Christian IV’s travel clock, Frederik VI’s whoopee cushion, ceremonial cradles, and historical toy cannons. Royal Child is designed as an interactive museum space, where children can actively explore history through play and sensory experiences. For the occasion, Queen Mary wore a two-tone lace midi dress by ME+EM.
I'm so happy with Mary; no re-wears or altered clothes just some new-ones.
ReplyDeleteAnd a splash of colour with a young design. She is also much at ease and looks comfortable which is nice to see.
What's wrong with re-wears or altered clothes?
DeleteEverything haha she lives in a rich country plus the balance must be right. Just spoil yourself!
DeleteQueen Mary has a lot of altered evening gowns. I do not like the lace dress she is wearing here, nor the ruffles in the skirt or the color of the lace..
DeleteThis is the best I have seen Christian's hair look in a long while. The side part is a more mature look over the school boy center part.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, it looks like he means business now, the boy is becoming a (very handsome) man. Mary and Frederik look great too. The fabric of Feederik's suit doesn't seem ideal, it looks like it was a long drive here.

What a lovely visit. The Queen looks beautiful, this dress suits her well.
ReplyDeleteYes the dress suits her wonderfully well.
DeleteAgree. Nice dress and looks great with nice shoes as opposed to the awful plimsoll like ones worn by the model. There’s something different about Prince Christian’s appearance lately, in a positive way. He looks much more mature and more handsome.
DeleteMary looks so youthful in this lovely color and style. I’m not a fan of all over lace but it works on Mary. Carole Middleton wore the same dress in yellow to Ascot this week. MR
ReplyDeleteHow come we never see pictures any more of Carole Middleton or Pippa Middleton ? In the beginning even before Princess Catherine was married, we saw all the time pictures of these two. Are they not interesting any more ?
DeleteMary looks lovely in this pretty summery dress.
ReplyDeleteHer hair is styled nicely as always.
Cate.
Lovely dress on Mary. I see it’s a marque which Sophie also enjoys, but Mary is lucky with her body proportions on where the hem line ends up, incredibly flattering. Love the look of this dress with heels (Mary) or flats (model), best sort of dress (of course more marks awarded for pockets and all the practicality they offer :-))
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and feminine dress for this beautiful lady! Mary looks perfect. I also like the outfit of the elderly lady with the flower in her hair. Very charming. Is it Countess Sussie?
ReplyDeleteThere's something with crownprince Christian that makes him look so regal to me! Maybe his height? But also something in his aura.
ReplyDelete/Sofia
I think so too.
Deletebecause unlike his father, his suit looks official; no wrinkles, shoes look professional.
DeleteHe parts his hair on the side vs. the old middle part, looks great! Dlh
DeleteBien jolie dans cette robe estivale dont j'adore les très petits motifs bicolores !
ReplyDeleteCount Ingolf, the former queen‘s cousin, looks terribly frail, oh dear. Yes, crown Prince Christian seems to be exceptionally at ease in his role, how promising.

Mary and her love for british royal fashion... As a Danish, I am disappointed that she wears almost exclusively british fashion brands, but this one looks great on her. She has great proportions and it is such a shame that she is not promoting local fashion the way that british, dutch, spanish etc royals do.
ReplyDeleteMore fabrications.
DeleteI was unaware that British royals had personal brands. This should be reported to the appropriate authorities so that they may take action. The royal family is not permitted to have personal businesses.
I wonder why you don't write about her wearing Danish brands? She wears them quite often this month. Or if you do write about it, you disparage her. You disparaged the culottes. Leticia is engaged to Carolina Herrera. I haven't read that the Spanish are criticizing her.
The older couple is Count Ingolf and Countess Sussie of Rosenborg, if you are wondering as I was.
ReplyDeleteLove the countess pink dress, she looks so cute and summery in it.
DeleteMary is so tall.
ReplyDeleteNo, she has a normal body height and is shorter than Queen Maxima and Queen Mathilde.
DeleteI love this dress too. The slit at the neckline saves it from looking too prim. It’s also tailored rather than floaty and that gives it quite a sophisticated look. It certainly suits Q. Mary’s shape perfectly. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice the fashion at all! All I could see was two parent delighted to be in the company of their eldest son.
ReplyDeleteProud parents to a lovely son.
