King Frederik and Queen Mary are undertaking a three-day official visit to the Faroe Islands aboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog. On the third day of their visit, the King and Queen arrived by the royal yacht at the harbour in the village of Eiði. Unusual top in the first few photos. Looks nice but the sleeves are too long.

The sleeves you see are those of her brown blouse she is wearing underneath her brown jacket.

  2. I'm not sure, is Queen Mary wearing culottes or a skirt? Love her jacket.

The Faroe Islands are fairly northerly. Wuth climate change, Paris in summer is now way too hot for me!

Big difference between the king's uniform and all the bling-bling of his medals and the outfit of the queen. I understand the t° are not very high there, but a warm coat in a bright color would have looked better for the queen.

Define “better”? For my eye, I think this chocolate brown is lovely on Mary, and fits the natural environment and culture of the islands much better than a bright colour. The Faroes are full of subdued colour and I think Mary has chosen her outfits very well. - Mary

      @ Mary
Her husband in his uniform looks like the king. She is not looking like the queen. In the public there are women in brighter colors too.

  6. Très élégante sa veste ceinturée sur une jupe ample ? Ses manches laissent apparaître un chemisier de couleur marron foncé !
