On June 13, 2025, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde hosted a luncheon for members of the Federal Government at the Royal Castle of Laeken. Among the guests were Prime Minister Bart De Wever, Deputy Prime Ministers David Clarinval, Maxime Prévot, Frank Vandenbroucke, Vincent Van Peteghem, and Jan Jambon, as well as Ministers Annelies Verlinden, Bernard Quintin, Theo Francken, Jean-Luc Crucke, Vanessa Matz, Rob Beenders, Mathieu Bihet, and Eléonore Simonet.
Queen Mathilde wore a new dress by Natan for the occasion.
Beautifull dress, elegant as ever!
ReplyDeleteUne grande variété de cravates mais la plus élégante est celle de l'homme à droite du roi sur la première photo !
ReplyDeleteI am not really convinced by ruches decorating - of all things!! - the midriff - actually, the belly. Why accentuate something that has enough accent on its own ... Making the sleeves unrecognizable as sleeves would have been enough Natan style element on this dress. Length is good.
ReplyDeleteThe first impression I had of the white dress was that the sleeves looked like the sleeves on Safiyaa dresses, except that hers are only partly attached in the armholes. The ruffled details on the right side of the dress is something I wouldn't have made. All in all a lovely dress. The dress is also a change for the simple dresses Queen Mathilde wore in the past.
ReplyDeleteI want to like the dress but I don’t. Perhaps if it was in a patterned fabric. The sleeves are just weird, looks like the tacking threads were left in. The queen does look lovely in the dress, just not her best look.
ReplyDeleteI like it up until the gathered midriff. It draws the eye to that area. A busier neckline might have been a better option.
ReplyDeleteLowri.
