King Frederik and Queen Mary are undertaking a three-day official visit to the Faroe Islands aboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog. On the third day of their visit, the King and Queen arrived by the royal yacht at the harbour in the village of Eiði. During the official welcome at the quay, they were received by, among others, Mayor Jógvan í Skorini. The village of Eiði is located on the northwestern side of the island of Eysturoy, the second-largest of the Faroe Islands.
North of Eiði lies the mountain Eiðiskollur, which King Frederik and Queen Mary, accompanied by Princess Josephine, hiked. The 343-metre-high cliff formation offered sweeping views of the dramatic landscape and the open North Atlantic.
Unusual top in the first few photos. Looks nice but the sleeves are too long.
ReplyDeleteThe sleeves you see are those of her brown blouse she is wearing underneath her brown jacket.
DeleteI'm not sure, is Queen Mary wearing culottes or a skirt? Love her jacket.
ReplyDeleteI feel so sad for the Danes, don't they ever get summer over there? /Amie in Paris
ReplyDeleteAmie in Paris;
Deletelook att the georaphy please?’
I thought she was Catherine. Brown looks good on Mary
ReplyDeleteBig difference between the king's uniform and all the bling-bling of his medals and the outfit of the queen. I understand the t° are not very high there, but a warm coat in a bright color would have looked better for the queen.
ReplyDeleteTrès élégante sa veste ceinturée sur une jupe ample ? Ses manches laissent apparaître un chemisier de couleur marron foncé !
