New official portraits of Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine of Denmark were released today. The photos were taken by photographer Steen Evald. It is a tradition for the Danish Royal Family to have new official portraits taken at regular intervals. These portraits are used by the Royal House in various official contexts.
Twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine were born on January 8, 2011, at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, 26 minutes apart, with Vincent being slightly older than his sister. They are the third and fourth children of King Frederik and Queen Mary. For the official photo shoot, Princess Josephine wore a light blue embroidered puff-sleeve blouse by Sandro Paris.

Beautiful - well what, children no more, so teenager? Both very attractive, really a joy to behold. Small fashion related remark: Those puff sleeves may be nice when the wearer is in motion or whenever, I am not a fan anyway . But standing still and in this pose and thanks to a certain stiffness of the fabric, they distort shoulder and arm into being disproportionately broad or swollen. Puff sleeves please leave ASAP to the other puff sleeves of the olden days, have fun and stay there.
ReplyDeleteI donot see what you see: I just see a lovely blouse
DeleteThe shirt is crisp and beautiful including the sleeves.
DeleteI love the blouse but not the puff sleeves. (Mjt)
DeleteBeautiful! interesting how they look like different versions of Mary; the slightly smiling Mary- Josephine and the serious looking Mary- Vincent
ReplyDeleteInteresting observations, though I think neither looks particularly like Mary. I can see her somewhat in Josephine but not much. I think, of the 4 children, Christian is the one who takes after her the most.
DeleteThey are such good looking kids, especially Prince Vincent. Princess Josephine looks so like her mother!
DeleteStylishly dressed and looking confidently into the camera, the twins embody a generation that knows what it wants. Their presence suggests that many doors are open to them.

Lovely photos! They're both very good looking!!
ReplyDeleteThey look so grown up! Very beautiful teenager, both of them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. And I think the blouse is just right.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, very pretty blouse on Josephine. Vincent in his matching blue shirt and jacket, perfect combination. Gosh what handsome children.
ReplyDeleteWow!!! ❤️
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of the twins. I think Vincent looks like his father. This is off-topic and doesn't belong in this thread, but I couldn't figure out how to post it.
ReplyDeleteSince our discussions often are focused on fashions from another culture.. I thought everyone would like to see this video from Bhutan.

It's about Bhutan's airlines. It's a music video and well worth watching. It's on You Tube.
It is a perfect example of a country adhering to traditions, but being culturally up-to-date. Hope I don't get into trouble for posting it this way.
Bhutan is exceedingly beautiful and very careful in their steps to modernisation. They are certainly not “culturally up to date” - they retain their own culture and traditions which are strong and consistent across the nation. You will see some jeans in Thimphu but most people are rural and are too poor to dress in more than traditional garments. There are few shops that sell western items and not once you leave the 2 cities. In town traditional garments are required if you work for the government, visit an original building eg museum, visit a temple, etc. I actually don’t think it’s possible to say “culturally up to date” as cultures differ across communities and countries so there is no measure of what up to date means. Long may the differences remain! Along with their traditions and slower pace Bhutan retains clean soil, hence clean all organic food, clean air, etc.
DeleteBeautiful young people! Well mannered also. Like the countenance of Josephine, she looks sweet and kind. The young man reminds his grandfather very much to me, love his straight back and radiance of confidence
ReplyDeleteAnna
They are both beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIndeed , Ava!
