On May 29, 2025, Queen Letizia of Spain attended the national final of the Ibero-American Scientific Monologues Contest Solo de Ciencia (Science Only), organized by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology, at the CĂrculo de Bellas Artes. The participants, all from scientific backgrounds, competed by delivering three-minute monologues in which they explained scientific concepts in an entertaining and humorous way.
The audience award was presented by the Minister of Education, Vocational Training and Sports, Pilar AlegrĂa. After the winner of the first prize was announced by the jury spokesperson, Queen Letizia presented the award to Alicia Otero. Alicia also received the audience award for her monologue on "gossip." She will go on to represent Spain in the Ibero-American final, which will be held on November 28.
At the event, Queen Letizia wore a custom-shortened black leather T-shirt from & Stories, paired with high-waisted, wide-leg black trousers by Sybilla, which she has worn on several previous occasions. She also carried a black velvet clutch by Giorgio Armani.
A very nice outfit, I am not a fan of leather be it as worn here or skirt or pants. It just does not seem elegant to me. Love the dior clutch. She does look lovely in her pointy shoes. She sure know how to pull an outfit together.
ReplyDeleteI must say I really adore this outfit on Letizia. She looks badass because of the black & leather, yet feminine because of the hairstyling. The proportions of this outfit are looking great on her (boxy top with wide trousers). This is one of my favourite outfits ever on her, she looks fantastic.

Well said. She looks edgy and cute.

I, too, think the Pilar Alegria's trousers are poorly fitted. The upper leg, in particular, is baggy and the length is awkward with the style of her shoes.

I am also not a leather fan, but hands down - this "composition" is just extremely pretty. By shortening the top the whole outfit wins immensely, the leather is almost only an accessoire, because its shortness allows to show her slim waist/silhouette instead of hiding it behind the relative stiffness of leather. Wow.
ReplyDeleteThis is not something I would usually like, but I love this ensemble. The leather blouse is edgy, she looks fabulous, love the pants.
ReplyDeleteWow! Only Letizia can wear something like this! She looks absolutely stunning!
ReplyDeleteNot only Letizia but every woman who is extremely thin. The boxy look is not made for woman who have size 42 (European Size). Women who are thin and big can also wear this look, but for them the short top can be made a bit longer.
DeleteI like the modern and contemporary look of this outfit. The wide leg or palazzo pants are great for the evening
ReplyDeleteFor me, the beauty of this ensemble is that the top has been cropped short. That, together with the silky fluidity of the soft leather gives it an edge, which is both surprising and quite pleasing. Very nice.

I absolutely love this outfit! She has made a leather top work for this level of formality. There isn't one thing I would change.
ReplyDeleteQueen Letizia's outfit was a successful combination of modern fashion, royal elegance, and thoughtful style. It was fresh, chic, and perfectly suited to the event, while also making a subtle statement about her personality and approach to royal style.👌🏻
