Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited the exhibitions ‘Imagining the Universe’ at Museum Leuven, and 'To the Edge of Time' in the Leuven University Library. These exhibitions were organized as part of the Big Bang City Festival which involves a series of cultural events dedicated to the big bang theory. Big Bang City Festival will be held in the next weeks in collaboration with the city of Leuven and KU Leuven and will focus on the fascination of the cosmos and its impact on science and culture.
The festival is held in honor of Professor Georges Lemaître, who is considered the father of the big bang theory and the founder of modern cosmology. In 1925, Georges Lemaître was appointed a professor of KU Leuven, where he continued his cosmological research. 'Imagining the Universe' exhibition portrays the enduring wonder and constant search for insights into the origins of the universe and mankind in this immeasurable system.
'To the Edge of Time' exhibition reveals the riveting story of scientific discovery behind the big bang theory, from Albert Einstein’s revolutionary theory of general relativity to Georges Lemaître's discovery of an expanding universe and Stephen Hawkings’ quantum theory and the multiverse.

ReplyDeleteI like to color selection and the flow of the fabric, however, I don't know if it's her posture, but her belt looks like is right under her breast. I like some of the Natan styles, but sometimes wonder why royals seem to like that brand so much?
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful shade of crimson! Overall the Queen looks very nice as usual. I prefer the V-neck blouse on the model with the white boots. Perhaps the royals don't want to copy the model outfit exactly.

QM looks good in this burgundy/off-white combination. However, in my opinion, this look could improve with a slightly loose belt and blouse that makes her torso appear longer; in such a case the proportions will be better.

I do not like the wide belts that Queen Mathilde and Queen Maxima frequently wear. I very much like the mulberry/burgundy color of Q Mathilde's skirt and blouse, and I like the movement of the pleated skirt. A blouse similar to that worn by the model, along with a thin belt, would have looked much better, in my opinion. Her shoes are gorgeous.

ReplyDeleteLovely outfit and a great colour for the Queen. Unfortunately the belt gives a strange silhouette, making her look even more short waisted than usual. Still nice but could have been great.
ReplyDeleteLovely color on Queen Mathilde! The whole look is wonderful on her--but I do wish she'd choose thin belts. She is short-waisted and these big belts emphasize that and skew the proportions. But she is such an elegant lady, so pretty and graceful that its not too hard to overlook such things.
