On September 3, Prince Albert II of Monaco, his children, Princess Gabriella and Crown Prince Jacques visited Dublin. Prince Albert visited Irish President Michael D Higgins and his wife Sabina Higgins at the presidential residence. Afterwards, Prince Albert visited Trinity College Dublin with his children to mark his major donation to the Old Library.
On the occasion of the visit, two ceremonies took place to mark the significance of the donation. An unveiling ceremony took place of a frieze with the names of Prince Albert and Princess Charlene on the University’s Benefactors Wall at the entrance to the Trinity College Dining Hall. A frieze containing the name of Prince Albert was also unveiled on the Gallery of the Long Room of the Old Library alongside the founding donors to the Library.

Lovely to see Prince Albert continue the links to his great grandparents' country. The twins both look great, especially Princess Gabriella who seems a real live wire.

Albert is demonstrating he can take care of his kids himself.
It was reported that Gabriella herself took a scissor to her own hair and Mum tried to fix it.

Janine, I agree that Gabriella cut her own hair and not a stylist. If a stylist cut hair like her hair was cut they would have no clients!

ردحذفSorry, my comment has been in relation to the press headlines that Charlene collapsed Wednesday night and has been in Durban's hospital again. Shortly before another surgery, I read... Hopefully she has strong support of her family and/or friends.

Oh come on! I am sure visits like this get planned months in advance and it is not easy to cancel them on a drop of a hat. Besides, what should he and the kids do? Sit by her hospital bed all day long? She knows she is loved without them hanging over her. Events like this are a good distraction for all. How easy it is to judge the others!

حذفTotally agree, Ana Katerina. They've just seen their mother in, it appears, reasonably good health. Why on earth would you fly them back to see her in a hospital bed? I hope they haven't even mentioned it to them. And there are continuing travel restrictions to be considered too. Well done, Prince Albert, for keeping going with the planned visit.

C'est avec plaisir de voir les jumeaux accompagner leur père ; ils sont toujours aussi mignons bien habillés mais sur certaines photos, on peut remarquer leur tristesse compréhensible - J'espère que nous aurons de bonnes nouvelles de Charlène ! PS J'aurais bien aimé voir les adorables chiens du couple présidentiel ; je pense que cela aurait mis un petit peu du baume au cœur des enfants même si cela n'aurait pas suffi !

The children look super cute, but I don't think taking them to official things so much can be very interesting for them. J
ردحذفThis is just my opinion but if Albert was any sort of husband he would be on a plane back to his sick wife. Some things should come first. The recent family photos show her looking too frail and weak.
Albert has to continue his life as a monarch; Charlene has taken he habit of leaving her seat empty for a long time, culminating now with her departure to SAfr, that has inevitably consequences.

ردحذفPrince Albert and the children just visited Princess Charlene on August 25th and I am sure he is in constant contact with her doctors, family and Princess Charlene too. If he needed to be in South Africa I am sure his Dassault Falcon 7X jet is on the tarmac and ready to go at any moment!
