By this exhibition, the Dutch people in the Netherlands want to honour those young Canadian soldiers, airmen, nurses and military personnel who lost their lives so far away from home fighting for their freedom. They also wish to recognize every single Canadian soldier with a photograph and a story of their life to create a digital memorial.

    2. Agreed @Tulipe33.
Dressed perfectly and correctly for the occasion.
A Princess we don't see much of.
Always an elegant dresser with good taste.
I'd say that she must have graduated from the same school of "Elegance" as Princess Benedikte of Denmark.
Some of her life history can be found in English on ......

  2. Once again Princess Margrietoffer a lesson in style. No wonder she bears a serious and grief-stricken look on her face. Seeing the graves of so many young men and women killed and buried so far from home is very painful. When will humanity realise that no true progress will be achieved until we put an end to the horrors of war? That would be the best way to honour them for their sacrifice.

When I first saw the pictures, I thought that this was Queen Sonia. I was wondering why the Netherlands were honoring Canadian soldiers in Norway! Too quick a reading. Making me realize that we do not see princess Margriet often enough.
