Queen Mathilde watched the first session of the first round of the Queen Elisabeth Piano Competition 2021 which is being held online this year. 58 pianists from 16 different countries participated in the first round. The entire competition will be streamed live on the Queen Elisabeth Competition website. The first rounds started yesterday and run until May 8. The semifinals will take place from May 10 to 15 and the finals week will run from May 24 to 29.
Every year in May, the Queen Elisabeth Competition organizes an international competition in Brussels for young, classically trained musicians. The Queen Elisabeth Competition was founded in 1937 at the instigation of Queen Elisabeth and Belgian violinist Eugène Ysaÿe

ReplyDeleteI really like these light pastel colours. The soft cream and sweet pink complement each other without making it too sweet or too pink. Very nice.
