Originally, the Poppy Factory took a group of wounded veterans, a tray of poppies and a collecting tin to the grounds of St Margaret’s Church at Westminster Abbey. At first, a small amount of poppies were planted around a single cross, but now tens of thousands of poppies are planted every year. Ex-service men and women, and also members of the public, can plant a cross or a symbol carrying a personal message in memory of those who lost their lives in the service of others.

  1. Perfect. Elegant and appropriate. I love the poppy mask.

  2. The Duchess looks great. Her hat and coat are appropriately somber for the occasion, yet stylish. She loves boots in cooler weather and these are okay. I love her poppy pin and her poppy mask. I think she is a great asset to the royal family.

  3. Manteau idéal pour cette occasion, très chic avec les bottes noires ; quelle bonne idée son masque coquelicot du même style que sa petite broche mais je trouverais mieux que son chapeau soit sans cette plume !

Not a fan of the outfit, more like a costume the men wear with all their medals. Her hair is rather 'flippy' which doesnt seem to look good. Green feather on the hat looks very odd, as if an after thought, and looks cheap/color not good.

It is basically the same hair she has had for decades. It would be nice if she had alternative styles with her cut instead of being stuck in this rut. The feather bothers me as well. I don't know much about hat fashion and I tend to like simple styles, so the feather looks very random to me, rather like it just fell from the sky and landed there. Some of the angles of pictures make the coat look like it is emphasizing her tummy, but I do understand the point in the design. I think her mask is perfect. I only wish she had worn it throughout, along with everyone else, as they would have in Spain, for example. It would not take away from the importance and meaning of the ceremony, and would set the example needed for the country.

  5. Her "costume" is fashioned to resemble the uniform of the Rifles of which she was named Colonel in Chief by Prince Phillip, the former Colonel in Chief.

It's kind of similar to the one Catherine of Cambridge has worn. I like both of the coats but prefer Catherine's. Camilla's white ruffle hanging out of the sleeve is not a good look. ~Laurel~

Unfortunatelly she is not Prince Harry, but she is doing very well. Except Prince Harry, there is no one who could do this better.

Camilla is so respectful of the occasion. I love the military style coat, the ruffled sleeve on the blouse is nice; the feather in her hat looks jaunty. The boots look good. The hair is her style; she looks bright and interested ,it isn't just a job to her.

  8. I love this outfit, other than the feather on the hat -- I think its angle makes it a bit too assertive, creating a very jarring effect. If it were set at a gentler angle and much closer to the curve of the hat, it would look great.

Love the poppy mask. I like her green military style coat but hate the ruffle from her top poking out of the sleeve. It looks sloppy and distracts from the overall look. I like the beret style hat worn on an angle but the feather seems so random.

Very nice - colour is great as is the style. Love the hat complete with the feather which is there as decoration and the colour coordinates well with the coat. The poppy mask is a nice touch.

  11. Great outfit which makes the Duchess very trim and smart, to match the service personnel. Just been inspired to but a poppy mask!
