ReplyDeleteJust noticed that the Empress takes a large size shoe. Quite unusal for a Japanese woman. In fact, I think that her shoe size is larger than the Emperor's.
Hope my observation doesn't cause an uprising in the Royal court :-)
Empress Masako's creamy white suit, with matching shoes, is gorgeous. I see pearl earrings and can imagine that the standing collar of her jacket is hiding a beautiful pearl necklace. The photo of the Emperor and Empress stooping to address the medal winner is very sweet and non-regal.
