On Tuesday, February 25, 2020, Dutch royal family's photo session for 2020 winter holiday took place in Lech, Austria with the participation of King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, Crown Princess Catharina-Amalia, Princess Alexia and Princess Ariane. In addition, Princess Beatrix, Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien and their children Countess Eloise, Count Claus-Casimir and Countess Leonore took part in the photo session. Dutch royal family holds two annual photo sessions, in winter and summer every year with the press. |
Unusual! Qm Maxima is better hairstyled at winter sports than on normal work days, no?
ReplyDeleteHaaaa! Yup. Ironic, isn't it?

Just more in line with the occasion
DeleteThere is no other Royal Family that gets more Privacy than the Dutch.
ReplyDeleteWe see the kids twice a year, there was even no xmas photo last year.
Good for them 👍
They look for grown up, young adults and ever so Gorgeous!
J.
Good for them? As a dutch citizen i can’t really appreciate that I have to pay a lot of tax money for this family and they wan’t to be as private as normal citizen, it’s a big no for me!
DeleteYou pay a lot of tax money for all your country's politicians as well. Do you need to see pics of their children too?
DeleteSpot on Haga, even in a REPUBLIC the people pay taxes for the presidents upkeep, privacy etc etc etc.
DeletePoliticians have a total different role then a king and heiress to the throne, they can’t be compared and they don’t get an dotation of 1,5 miliion euro’s when they turn 18 (and haven’t done anything meaningless before getting this).

DeleteBravo!!!
Brava, Haga. Well said!!! Chrissy
DeleteNo child asks to be born into a royal life and no one should think that they have the right or expectation to a front row seat to the life of these children. Be thankful you get the glimpses you do. I think it is very generous of them to share these photos. Put yourself in the places of these children. They are entitled to grow up as normally as possible, without critiques from the country and world. It takes a rare adult that can stand up to that. I can't imagine a child that could.
DeleteLovely photos of all of them. The background is spectacular!

I am sure their ski wear is very fashionable. The pictures are wonderful, and the setting is awesome. Princess Beatrix looks overjoyed to be surrounded by her family in a casual setting.
ReplyDeleteAgree with you Debra. So much love in these wonderful pics.
DeleteThe dutch royal family have an agreement with the press and their private life is well protected not a soap opera. Beautiful pictures as every year but always the same style, no surprises.
ReplyDeleteWow , love these amazing photos . All are looking very lovely . Mabelle and her girls are missing , it would be nice if they were there. The king and the queen are so in love , wish them happiness together.
ReplyDeletePerhaps Mabel and her daughters have other things to do or don't want to be there or don't particularly like cold/skiing. How do you know it would be nice if they were there? Just MO. ~Rose~
DeleteIt may well be that they don't want to be there. After all this is the place where Prince Friso, their husband and father had his fatal ski accident in 2012. This must be very sad memories for Mabel and the girls and it is understandable that they don't want to go there for a holiday.
DeleteAgree with you, Beth. If I were Mabel, there is no way I would ever want to visit that particular place. It would bring it all back. Brilliant photos of the other two couples and their families and good for Princess Beatrix still skiing at a relatively advanced age.
DeleteMabel en haar meisjes zijn er altijd een week eerder met Prinses Beatrix. Ze wonen in Engeland en daar hebben de kinderen een week eerder vakantie.
DeletePrincess Beatrix is still skiing. Isn't she 82?
ReplyDeleteWho would dare answer the question? We would need to see her really on the slopes. The alternative was that she was just holding ski sticks for any of them... But since none of them is actually on the slopes, just too difficult to answer.
DeleteAdorables photos sur un très beau fond judicieusement choisi !
ReplyDeleteGreat mountain view as a background. This is a great photo session. It seems everyone had fun. Love their snowsuits. They are very patient with the paps. Hope they can enjoy their winter vacation now in peace. Sadly Pss Mabel and her daughters are not there.
ReplyDeleteNow, one of these group shots is the photo for the official Christmas card this year. Hello!
ReplyDeleteEuropa
Or maybe one that will be taken in the Summer, like last years Christmas card.

DeleteI am thinking more a long the lines of those who think a Christmas card photo should more closely resemble the season in the northern hemisphere - cold and snowy. Some (not necessarily me) don't like the juxtaposition of a sunny summery photo for a card celebrating a cold weather holiday - or vice versa. Just saying. They could also use both - the winter photo shoot and summer photo shoot - on the one card. But then again, you can't please every one.
Europa.
Lovely photos and this family looks very relaxed and happy together. They make a good team. I guess the king and the queen are quite easy going people. - Siri
ReplyDeleteSo much fun when Amalia gives her father a kiss.
ReplyDeleteCheck NOS.nl and find the video there.
