  1. Ok I am going to say this again. She needs a good bra! Her 'chi chi's" are practically at her waist.

A good bra is a must with back problems and larger ... chi chi's

    2. I agree with the "support" issue. But, I think the ´bosom at waist´- look is just as much to blame on both bad posture and weirdly high waistlines in her dresses. There´s really no explanation for why she chooses to look like that. For me, the placement of the waist is one of the most important criteria for a flattering look, and is highly individual. There are some items however with so-called baby-doll style high waists that look good only on girls until like 6-7 years and pregnant women. On everyone else, it´s a recipe for desaster, at least in my world.

  2. I don't understand why everyone is so hard on her. She has a lovely smile, her hair usually looks nice, and she seems to be a really friendly person. I understand this is a fashion blog but I think she should not be judged so harshly.

    1. You said it yourself - we are here to discuss fashion. That´s not equal with judging a person. I doubt that there´s anyone here even remotely qualified to tell what kind of person she is anyway. But we can discuss how she comes across, which is fair game for a person who´s job it is to fulfill a public role and, in fact, to be seen.

  3. I think people are too hard on her. I understand this is a fashion blog but she seems to be a friendly person with a lovely smile and her hair usually looks nice. Okay, sometimes her clothes choices may be a bit iffy, but I'm not keen on negative comments about her physical appearance.

    1. @ Heather, I understand that you may feel uncomfortable about the critical comments, but it is not about her physics or her figure - nobody is perfect and I guess most who comment on this blog are not - but for making wrong choices according to her figure. This is what fashion is about, find a style that suits you, that underlines your personality, that brings out the best of you. And this is what makes fashion fun and exciting. I used to sell fashion and I was always keen to help a client to look her best. And MM could do better most of the times, that is a matter of fact.

  4. I agree with Heather! Totally. And if this is a fashion blog why not just concentrate on the fashion and not get hooked up on the person. She seems to be a nice person, unusually happy married and with three great kids.
Diane Brown, I'm not criticizing you! I'm more thinking on the overall criticism on the persons. It's great that not everyone looks like a top model but are like people are the most. We cannot be made in the same shape.
I just get a little disappointed on the chase of the unnaturally.
We are all different, thanks heaven!

    1. Hey I love MM. I think she is down to earth and does wonderful things in her role as CP.

Yes it is a fashion blog. Fashion means you look at fit, cut, style, color, accessories etc. You can have on a beautiful dress but if you are not wearing the proper undergarments then the entire look is lost.

That is just a fact. It does not take away from her smile or charm or work. I am not saying she needs to look like a top model. We are made of many body shapes. She is a full figured women. Yay for her. But that requires proper support when you wear clothes. Maxima has a voluptous shape. But she wears supportive undergarments. My comments have never been personal. I myself have been bullied in life for being too thin. I cannot tell you some of the names I was called. Knowing that I adjusted my clothing as to not expose bony arms when I was a kid. As an adult my body remains thin but not as thin. You must adapt with the change. There is no reason for MM to not have supportive bras. I do not care if you are big or small no one should be sagging in the chest. As a CP I just think she sets an example.

I am all for setting the ta ta's free! But when you attend an event as the CP for your family then you should make sure your ta ta's are not sitting at your waist. She can let them fly away from work or at home.

Again my comments are not a personal attack and I am not body shaming her. Her style looks not so good with the sag. Makes the dress look bad. Fashion wise.

  5. Nobody is 'chasing the unnaturally' here. As far as I can see you won't find many supporters of surgery, or overdoing it with botox or even heavy unnatural make-up on this blog. Most of who comment here will agree that MM seems to be a nice and warm-hearted person who does a great job, who.....unfortunately so often chooses clothes that don't fit, that don't suit her, and the way she wears it, unfortunately don't make a good appearance. That's what we talk about, that is about fashion and not against the person.

Why, oh why for example all white again, like an eight-year old going to her first communion??? And probably the inevitable black tights again. Can't see it, but I fear the worst.
Look MM, if you want an unagitated look, look at the ladies to your right (middle picture)in black how they do it, they both look great, clothes and hair, modern, modest, elegant, natural, totally approbriate to the occasion, probably on half the budget or even less, it is totally possible, in fact it is totally easy, if you understand what you are doing.

  6. I think perhaps Diane's comment was about the need for the right supportive undergarments, not necessarily about MM's body size. To me, MM is a normal-sized, middle-aged woman and I think she looks appealing and healthy. But I also agree that she could benefit from a well-fitted bra in this particular outfit.

    1. Exactly Pine! Size is a non issue as to shape. Its the look when one does not wear proper undergarments and you are wearing something that accentuates lack of support i that area.

  7. No-one ever knows what size is on the label of your clothing, if, you're wearing the right size clothing ! For whatever reason, of late the lovely MM, has rather not been wearing a bra, or is not in the right size bra !And with her suffering with back problems, it would be imperative she be measured correctly,to ensure, she is 'puckered up'and as such, could alleviate any unnecessary strain on her back !
