On Saturday, October 10, 2026, Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg, in her capacity as President of the Luxembourg Red Cross (Croix-Rouge luxembourgeoise), presented 160 medals to deserving blood donors during a ceremony held in Diekirch. She thanked them for their generosity and commitment, which help save lives every day.
The ceremony, attended by Minister Martine Deprez and Mayor Charles Weiler, also highlighted the importance of regular blood donations, which are essential for meeting hospitals’ needs, preventing shortages, and maintaining sufficient blood reserves.
Max Mara Lamine Blazer

My Duchess Stephanie unfortunately ruined Max Mara suit . What a pity!
ReplyDeleteStephanie didn't ruin anything. If you think that this suit was not the right choice for her, just say so. Lyra
DeleteShe was so used to dress freely, wants to remain the boss of her dressing code ...
DeleteLetitia, Catherine and some other can do that since they can wear what ever they want and look elegant, far more difficult for Stephanie. I wish her to keep her marvelous smile.
We have seen her quite some nice things, I wish she would rewear them.
It isn’t ruined. Way too dramatic.
DeleteIt isn’t ruined. Way too dramatic.
DeleteA MaxMara trouser suit will not be cheap but it’s not right for Stephanie’s figure. Again the buttoned up jacket makes it look just too tight and not smart
DeleteDear@ Mary T.,
DeleteI beg to disagree.
Quite surprisingly though, if you consider that I am a slim, tall woman, the one who is supposed to find her clothes off the rack in the twinkling of an eye.
Let me side with Stephanie, instead.
You know, when I was still a student, I had a couple of "plump" classmates.
They were often ridiculed and I felt for them to the point that I always defended them.
Why compare Stephanie to other royal ladies such as Letizia and Catherine?
Sometimes you can't decide whether to be slim or on the large side, as many factors play a decisive role, first and foremost genetics, baby weight and also some illnesses. .
Nobody should be defined by their weight.
I understand that Stephanie might feel embarassed/ not at ease deep inside.
Her overweight is most likely nowhere near to her fault.
Nobody can foretell how their bodies will develop over the years .
We all remember that Stephanie was a marvellous young woman at the time of her engagement and subsequent marriage.
On the other hand, she has some valuable qualities: she is a very gregarious lady, always smiling and engaging.
However, I agree on the fact that she should ask for help from experts and that her clothes need better tailoring
as she is a public figure expected out well dressed and.groomed

DeleteYes, it would have been somewhat of a save if she had only left the jacket unbuttoned. Does she not own a mirror? Ok, that was unkind, but really. i even have my tailor move buttons over just a tad when close to being tight - just to give a little extra space.
ReplyDeleteYes it was a bit unkind. If we are writing something a bit unkind, we can delete it rather than publish. It is true that she could have adjusted the button. That was a good observation and fair comment.
DeleteIMO, she is unaware of what looks good or properly fits and sometimes the appropriateness of what she chooses to wear. As so many have mentioned, she would greatly benefit from a stylist and tailor that could match her personal style to level of her position.
DeleteOh dear the top and jacket look good. The pants are good through the hip but as they widen and flood near the bottom is not a good look especially with the flat shoes. the colour is great with her complex and hair .
ReplyDeleteShe has a lovely smile. - Ellie
ReplyDeleteWhat?
DeleteIndeed she does Ellie. She always looks so kind and interested.
DeleteYes she has a lovely smile, but her outfit needs tailoring.
DeleteThe MM suit is lovely, just the pull of the jacket a little bigger, the pants imo are too baggy for her. Stephanie is on the right track though, just some adjustments and size changes, more style thought to what suits her shape best. She looks radiant, happy and engaging, lovely to see.
ReplyDeleteLa veste trop grande ??? Mais c'est l'inverse
DeletePantalons trop larges, veste trop petite. Puisque Stéphanie ne sait pas comment se vêtir pour paraître à son avantage, quelqu’un devrait lui conseiller de se faire conseiller…. Josée.
ReplyDeleteI am developing a serious case of pantsuit fatigue.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to that. On this one in particular: As I said on GD's Stephanie's previous engagement (with the beige blazer), she almost always misses the mark by the breadth of a hair (perhaps a little more than just that). By now, it's rather painful to watch.
Delete3:30 … so wear something else?
DeleteGreat color but awful tailoring. MR
ReplyDeleteDespite all the negative comments on her linen light blue jacket and off-white jacket she bought at Scapa, I find this light blue Max Mara pant suit worse and more ill fitting than the 2 jackets she bought at Scapa's.
DeleteOui cela pourrait aider
DeleteOmg! GDS shows that she has plenty of cash to spend on her wardrobe. However there is a chasm between spending up big and understanding what suits your body. Not everything suits everyone. Identify what is flattering to your body and stick to it. Stephanie has not learned this valuable lesson.
ReplyDeleteThe blue is a lovely shade for her but nothing else positive can be said. Poor fit top to bottom! Jacket too small and consequently too tight. Pants too long and are dragging on the ground. That said they are a distinct improvement in cut compaired to other recent trousers that were skin tight.
I realy like Stephanie she seems genuinely warm toward people and just glows in photos with her two lovely boys. I just wish that she would get proper advice to help her find beautiful flattering garments that would enhance every engagement she attends.
Right now she seems intent on copying the PofW or Queen Mary with pant suits that flatter tall thin women.
This will always be a fail for Stephanie.
Look how lovely she was in that fantastic yellow dress a few weeks ago.
Classic A-Line dress, good fit ,good length, fab colour. More of the same please.
I find your comment unfair and unfeeling. Stephanie obviously tries hard and frequently knocks it out of the park. It’s much harder to dress spectacularly when you’re not a tall slim model. Have some heart,

DeleteNo, I don't think GD Stephanie is trying to copy any other royal lady nor I think she is just a woman with plenty of cash to spend on her wardrobe.
Pantsuits are fashionable , she is a beautiful woman, so why shouldn't she wear them?
Who said pantsuits have to be worn only by tall and slim women?
Who said this will always be a fail for Stephanie?
I just can't understand all these comparisons.
As I wrote elsewhere , her garments need better tailoring (you are right when you say that her jackets are
(often) too small and trousers are too long in this instance, for example)
I too wish she would get proper advice fashionwise but that's all.she needs.
Oh Stephanie, oh Stephanie....
ReplyDeleteCette veste est bien coupée mais elle conviendrait beaucoup mieux à Stéphanie si elle la portait non boutonnée !
ReplyDeleteWhy are so many commenters so tough on Stephanie? It is much harder for we who are not willow thin to find fashion that suits, given that most is constructed on willow thin models. We should not be judged harshly, we already know it’s harder, even with excellent advisors. So back off and look for what’s good and kind.
ReplyDeleteI find that she is wearing what the ‘style elements that suit her figure’ however what is missing is a few adjustments to tailor it to her actual figure. She can’t just wear off the rack. Few women can.
ReplyDeleteExactly si, she can't Just wear off the rock because few women can.
DeleteAs much as I like GD Stephanie, I just can't find an wcolanation whatsoever for her unflattering pantsuits (made by first- rate fashion houses).
It is not a question of being willow thin or on the large side as also slim royal ladies- I can put my finger on it- surely have their clothes adjusted to fit their figures.
Perfection doesn't exist , there are only good taylors/ seamstresses who can make proper alterations if/ when requested by their clients.
I suspect Stephanie
is reluctant to ask for help and I appreciate her determination to choose her own garments to some extent .
Anyway, let's be fair: most of or maybe all of the royal ladies we see featured on this site most likely have their clothes customized or otherwise we would be shocked every time they go out there to carry out their engagements!

Proof that money cannot buy style
ReplyDeleteYes it can but it is not necessarily the right fit.
DeleteProof that money cannot buy style
ReplyDelete@16:08 and 16:09 - 12:16 has made a fair, objective comment and one I fully agree with. Clothes specifically designed and tailored to fit would be so much better than the expensive mistakes she has worn lately.
ReplyDeleteThey are not mistakes, she chooses good colours and outfits, they look good but would look better with a little tailoring
DeleteIt's obvious at the shoulders that her jacket does not fit well; it's too small. ~~Ruthie
ReplyDeleteZe wil in ieder geval niet de modepop uithangen, en wat het belangrijktse is, ze doet haar werk op een symphatieke manier.
ReplyDeleteA Stylist could do wonders for Stephanie. She's very beautiful and certainly able to look great. A good stylist would make sure her clothes were tailored properly and suited her figure.
