On Tuesday, October 27, 2026, Grand Duchess Stéphanie attended the presentation of the 2026 Edward Steichen Awards alongside Minister Eric Thill at the Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean (Mudam Luxembourg). Awarded every two years, these distinctions recognise emerging young talents on the European art scene.
This year, Nazanin Hafez received the Edward Steichen Award European Resident. Hafez is a multidisciplinary artist based between Iran and Germany. Alexandra Uppman received the Edward Steichen Luxembourg Resident in New York Award. Uppmann is an artist based in Luxembourg who has Luxembourgish and Finnish roots.
Thanks to these awards and with the support of the “stART-up” fund of the National Relief Fund Grand Duchess Charlotte, both artists will have the opportunity to undertake residencies at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in New York, one lasting six months and the other four months, respectively. For the occasion, the Grand Duchess wore a green Sculpt Stretch Crepe top by The Fold.

She is and looks lovely but I think carrying a clutch would, somehow, make the look a lot more chic. The bag hanging from the shoulder makes her look a little too casual. Love the earrings.
ReplyDeleteIf she doesn’t have someone to hand her clutch to, it might make more sense to have the shoulder strap for ease.
DeleteI agree completely. She uses shoulder bags often and they do not help her outfits most of the time. A clutch would help immensely.
DeleteThis is a beautiful top or blouse for her. And it shows for me perfectly that it does not have to be a tent for more curvaceous/opulent ladies. If they do have a waist, they can show it!
ReplyDeleteShe looks lovely, I am not keen on the plain top and brown bottom, they are complimentary colours and the ruching of her top adds interest, but it needs a scarf or something to break up the solids. I do like the fit on her.
