On Monday, October 27, 2026, Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg, accompanied by Minister Max Hahn, visited the Beim Goldknapp residential care home in Erpeldange-sur-Sûre, Luxembourg. Managed by the Luxembourg Alzheimer Association (ala), the facility specialises in providing care and support for people with neurocognitive disorders, particularly Alzheimer’s disease.
During their tour of several units, the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess spoke with residents and members of the multidisciplinary team. They also visited the “Care Oasis,” a specially designed space adapted to the needs of people with advanced neurocognitive disorders.
Opened in 2007, the Beim Goldknapp care home specialises in the care and support of people living with dementia. The visit continues the series of meetings with older people initiated by the Grand Ducal Couple in 2021, highlighting their commitment to the well-being of older people and recognising the dedication of the professionals who care for them.
