On 14 September 2026, King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark officially disembarked from the Royal Yacht Dannebrog at Nordre Toldbod in Copenhagen, marking the end of the Royal Yacht’s sailing season. The King and Queen were welcomed by Nanna Westerby Jensen, CEO of By & Havn, and Harbour Master Christian Kopp.
At Frederik VIII’s Palace, the King and Queen will host the officers of the Royal Yacht Dannebrog for the traditional strygemiddag. The term “strygemiddag” derives from the naval tradition of “striking the command”, meaning that the command pennant is lowered from the Royal Yacht Dannebrog, thereby marking the end of the sailing season.
I find this outfit rather dull and drab. Both items (blazer and skirt) are very long with too much fabric and not flattering on Mary.
ردحذفThe dress is very interesting and I’d love to see it without the jacket. I love the colour of Mary’s shoes - is that colour coming in for winter I wonder? Her handbag is cute but most beautiful of all: the flowers! Wonder what she does with all the flowers she receives!
