On September 19, 2026, Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan visited Aichi Prefecture to attend the opening ceremony of the 20th Asian Games, held at Paloma Mizuho Stadium in Nagoya. Prince Akishino, the honorary patron of the Games, and his wife, Princess Kiko, also attended the ceremony.
On September 20, Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako will watch basketball, while Prince and Princess Akishino will attend a water polo competition. The Games feature 43 sports, 71 disciplines and 469 medal events, with more than 17,000 athletes from 45 countries and regions taking part. The event is held on a four-year cycle.
Love the lace jacket with high collar, great colour, the pearl button makes it so elegant. Both ladies are dressed so nicely.

ReplyDeleteThe ensemble worn by Princess Kiko's looks stunning. The light beige coatdress is perfect, beautifully tailoring, fit and style. I love the addition of the white piping on her cuffs and neckline, this really uplifts the overall look. Her handbag is a great color, slightly deeper shade of beige. Her pearl necklace, brooch and gloves, really nice, she looks utterly elegant and well groomed.
Crown Princess Kiko always looks so elegant in her outfits.

The Empress looks lovely in her outfit, with the lace jacket and dress perfectly color-coordinated. It is a pity, however, that the fabric of the dress seems prone to showing wrinkles. I get the impression that the Empress often chooses fabrics that wrinkle easily; I wonder why that is.

日本はかつて絹の国とも呼ばれていました。
