On August 17, 2026, Queen Rania of Jordan shared the first family photos of Talia and Rania, the twin daughters of Princess Iman and her husband, Jameel Alexander Thermiotis. Queen Rania captioned her post: “Healthy, happy, and finally here. We’ve been waiting so long to meet you, Talia and Rania. Congratulations Iman, Jameel, and sweet big sister Amina.”
Also pictured were King Abdullah, as well as Princess Iman’s younger siblings, Princess Salma and Prince Hashem. The babies’ arrival was announced by the Royal Hashemite Court on August 14. The twins are King Abdullah and Queen Rania’s third and fourth grandchildren. Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa have a daughter named Iman, who is King Abdullah and Queen Rania’s first grandchild.

Awww…granddad the King is just bursting with pride. Beautiful.

Queen Rania looks marvelous, as always in a very crisp white shirt. But the lovely looks on the faces of both the Queen and Kind are priceless. Such a special time for the whole family. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteOh how marvelous! twins! Beautiful. Grandparents look so proud.
ReplyDeletecoming from an islamic culture, i feel the pressure is on Iman to have a son after 3 daughters in a row. Even though genetically the man determines.
ReplyDeleteI guess the pressure is higher on the Crown prince couple...? I hope not though... Beautiful little princesses!
DeleteThe pressure most likely would be on Hussein and Rajwa since Hussein is the heir. But the family looks ecstatic with their new additions. 😊
DeleteWow! Congratulations! Grandpa looks like his heart is about burst with joy. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos. - Louise
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful life is!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures of a beautiful, tightly- knit and harmonius family!
It feels clearly that all these fabulous grandchildren, including the newborn twin baby girls, have brought an ineffable joy in this royal palace.
Wishing all of them hours and days full of pure happiness!
Why is it always the grandparents who are photographed with the newborn babies in their family instead of the parents. It was the same when CP Hussein and Princess Rajwa's child was born. Is it a custom in islamic royal families or is it in all the islamic families like that ?
ReplyDeleteWel,, I did not really feel my most photogenic self after giving birth, maybe she wants to keep those photos private? I also think that it is a beautiful and touching thing to have photos of your parents with your newborn child.
DeleteAnd he is the king after all

DeleteI compared with the birth of other royal babies in Europe. Normally the first picture which is made public is with the mother and father of the newborn prince or princess. It is only the royal house of Jordan which is publishing (for the 2nd time) the pictures with the grandparents first.
I had a second , more accurate look at these lovely pics and I am of the opinion that they were taken a short time after Princess Iman gave birth.
DeleteThe location Is not the Royal Palace but the hospital.
It can be reasonably inferred that - as @ Anonymous 12:35 said- Iman did not feel her most photogenic self...and who could blame her for that?
Tout le monde a l’air heureux surtout les grand-parents gaga devant ces merveilles !
ReplyDeleteWhen queen Silvia got her first grandchild she said so wisely: The grandchildren are the dessert of life ❤️
ReplyDeleteAnon 18/8/2026. 14:09 I totally agree with you. The pressure must be enormous on the crown prince couple to produce a male heir
