On August 22, 2026, Charlotte Casiraghi received the 2026 Musanostra Prize for her first solo work, La Fêlure. The presentation of the 2026 Musanostra Prize took place in Lumio. The Musanostra Prize (Prix Musanostra) is an annual literary award presented in Lumio, Corsica, during the E Statinate literary festival. It honors works written in French or Corsican.
La Fêlure (The Crack) is a 2026 philosophical essay by Charlotte Casiraghi, published by Éditions Julliard. La Fêlure weaves together the lives and writings of figures such as Colette, Marguerite Duras, and Anna Akhmatova, using the concept of personal fracture as a guiding thread. For the occasion, Charlotte Casiraghi wore a cotton and linen dress by Vanessa Bruno.

I am glad to see that Charlotte Casiraghi is a talented writer and I wish I could have the time to explore her book and the way the personal fracture thread unfolds.
She is the living proof that physical and intellectual beauty can co- exist in the same woman.
Honestly, I am not keen on her dress except its burnt orange shade.
I know that Vanessa Bruno's creations can be so much more attractive and flattering.

Is she that good (has anyone read her books) or is there a bias toward her (risk of being famous already)? If she’s that good, then congratulations. The dress is lovely on her but would be very short to sit on one of those chairs during the presentation!

I think that being famous as a model and a beautiful woman may be perceived with a sense of diffidence from others.
Beauty alone is often an obstacle, no matter who you are, and, sadly, women seem to be most biased to beautiful women.
They tend to find whatever faults in an attractive woman.
Beauty is never forgiven.
Believe me, physical beauty may reverse into a curse sometimes.
After all, I think that Charlotte is smart enough to get over biased minds and carry on with her life and literary achievements.

I am not a fan of this dress, a simple shift dress, nothing of note. Something to slip into and wear on a trip to the shops.
ReplyDeleteWe'd better get used to short dresses again. With the climate change and the high temperatures which are announced again for the summer of 2027, the fashion forecasts are showing more and more mini skirts and mini dresses. Of course the younger generation of women will be more fan than the older generations. I like Charlotte in this trendy summer dress, the summer of 2026 is not over yet and we can still have good weather and sunshine in september and october too.

ReplyDeleteWhat I understood by reading the captions the prize was distributed during an annual literary festival held in Lumio (Corsica) The distribution of the prizes could be during the day or during the evening, I think the festival took place during the day..
