The King then presented commissions to the 111 cadets graduating from the General Air and Space Force Academy in 2026: 81 from the General Corps, 16 from the Intendance Corps, and 14 from the Engineer Corps. The mission of the General Air and Space Force Academy is to train future officers of the Spanish Air and Space Force.

For the occasion, Queen Letizia wore a pearly pink midi dress by Adrianna Papell, featuring lace detailing on the sleeves and a matching lining. While the original design included a faux pearl necklace attached to the neckline, Queen Letizia chose to remove it.

Infanta Sofía wore a white A-line dress with black polka dots by Mango. However, Infanta Sofía adapted the design to suit her own style. While the original version was strapless, she added straps and shortened the hemline.

The pink dress is such a perfect fit and I like the little cap sleeves. The Mango dress is fine, however the sash could be alittle higher so it falls around the waist versus the hip. The uniforms are impeccable as usual.

    1. Such a proud moment for King Felipe. Queen Letizia looks wonderful. Easily one of her best outfits of the summer. The dress is a perfect fit, perfect length and accessories are perfect. Infanta Sofia though not looking as good as she did in the white trouser suit. The dress is not great and made worse by the very flat shoes. Great day for the whole family.

I am always a big fan of Letizias outfits. But not today. Too much Barbi vibes.

  3. I don't usually like lace but Letizia's dress is very feminine and summery. The strawberry pink colour looks good on her. The collarless neckline, the mid-calf length and the cap sleeves are all flattering features.

The version of the dress worn by Princess Sofia is not looking good. The dress looks better on the model.

Sofía is young. Do not criticise her. You remember I’m sure how it felt at that age.

Anon. 05:22. The commentator above didn't criticise Sofia, but gave her opinion on the dress. Moreover, Sofia is not a child anymore.

What about the others who criticise her dress (not her) in this item. Are they also receiving the same answers as I am ?

Anon 5 22., in answer to your points:
Infanta Sofia is young but she is not a child so should receive the sane consideration as other royal ladies
The original post, quite rightly, criticised the dress not the person
Remembering what it was like at that age, like many of us, I learned what suited me and made me look good, not only from the evidence of my own eyes but from comments and advice, sometimes critical, occasionally brutal (my brother!!) from family and friends

Queen Letizia's dress is a classic - each and every of our royal ladies, but especially: Duchess Sophie and Grand Duchess Stephanie could wear this very simple and flattering style and look good.in it. No frills, no puff sleeves, no layers, just perfect cut and good fabric. Letizia looks terrific in it. Sofía's dress is pretty too, the square neckline is as flattering as rarely seen.

I very much like the idea that HRH Infanta Sofia is interested in making her clothing uniquely her own by having changes made to this dress. I’m not sure they’re entirely successful here, but I love the effort and look forward to seeing what she does going forward!

Nice to see the RF together at this event. Leonore looks good in uniform. The king and Queen always look good. Sofias dress not my favorite. I think a style like her mother would been better OMO of course.

Letizia’s dress is a pretty color but a bit much lace for my taste. I like idea of a white dress with black polka dots, but something about the proportions of Sofia’s dress looks off to me. I think maybe the combination of the zigzagging/wrapped portion being pretty high up on her torso and extending to her hips, the hem being mid-calf length, and the strap of her shoes being across the front of her ankles is what is making the dress proportions look not quite right to me. She is quite tall, but the visual effect here almost makes her look squat, which she is not.

L’aboutissement d’un formidable parcours dans les armées pour la si jolie Leonor.
Pas fan de la robe de Sofia. Josée.

  15. The idea of Infanta Sofia's dress is their but on distribution of her fit, I don't feel it is successful. Regardless a bit of adjusting would relieve that. The gather at the waist and hip tie, imo the issue.
Queen Letizia looks nice, but I don't like this dense lace dress. The color is sublime. If you are a lace person, happy days! I like a little lace but not a full lace dress. I love the color of her shoes and bag. Leonor looks magnificent in uniform. As usual the King looks resplendent in uniform, he has real presence and a majestic look..

Letizia’s dress is marvellous. The pin is just right for her skin tone but also to make the lacy number sophisticated and not remotely Barbie. Perfect shape and length.

I like Infanta Sofia's Mango dress and black flats it's exactly what I would wear. I find nothing to dislike about Qu.Letitizia's outfit but don't love it overall.

@05:23 - completely agree. Sofia looks lovely, and I like the way she has the confidence to adapt clothes to her taste and comfort. The King as always, immaculate. Princess Leonor looks splendid in her uniform, the right to wear is most definitely deserved - bravo!

Sofia is a very beautiful girl. And even though this dress is very unflattering on her it does not detract from her beauty. The polka dot fabric really suits her, the dress is just the wrong style for her.

    I am impressed.
This family always succeed in blending instituitonal/ public duties with tender and natural gestures of affection.
Pss Leonor in her full uniform hugging her parents and sisters, splendid!

The queen’s pale pink lace dress is gorgeous…both the fit and style are becoming. However, Sophia’s dress, while beautiful on the model is not very becoming on Sophia, probably because she is thick waisted. When choosing clothing one has to select clothing that accentuates ones best asset. In this case, the fabric doesn’t drape probably because she doesn’t have a defined waist. Sophia is statuesque and poised, and while young she will have fashion hits and misses.
