On July 1, 2026, Princess Caroline of Monaco attended the opening of the exhibition Victor Brauner: The Magical Adventure at Villa Paloma, one of the Principality’s leading exhibition venues. 1. I'm not sure what Caroline is wearing. It looks like a very shapeless and messy blouse that was just thrown on. Her skirt looks like it could be used as a slip. The outfit looks especially messy from the side. I assume she wanted a more edgy look for the art exhibition. Not one of her best.

@11:48, you are not sure what she is wearing? Really? Here is help. A white shirt, with the back not tucked in, and a black skirt, which is sure not and cannot be a slip. Easy, isn't it? Of course you don't have to like it. But why let Caroline appear like a fool who throws some unidentifiable fabric on herself. Why not remain respectful in case of dislike too?

@14:59, there is a difference between a white shirt with the back not tucked in — presumably in an effort to be “on trend” — and a white shirt with the back not tucked in resulting in an unsightly, voluminous mess. Your desire to scold people for daring to point this out notwithstanding.

anon 2/7, 14:59. Sarcasm, yet again.
In what way did Sandra's comment "let Caroline appear like a fool"? honestly this remark makes no sense to me. Sandra's comment describes the impact which this outfit makes on HER as a viewer; the comment does not in any way personally attack the princess and I am at a loss to detect any disrespect. On the contrary, Sandra makes due allowance for Caroline's possible goal of wanting an " edgy look" -- which shows that Sandra has understanding and empathy for Caroline’s intention.
What I find disrespectful is making sarcastic remarks about a commenter who has a negative opinion about an outfit, whose opinion you disagree with. It is a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
As we know, there are no right or wrong opinions in art -- or fashion -- and therefore a negative opinion deserves exactly the same respect as a positive one.
Please, show respect to other commenters in your own remarks, by addressing those whose views you happen to disagree with in the same way you would like to be addressed – respectfully. Lyra

14:59 I too get frustrated with the lack of respect and silly criticisms and questions. Commenters demand not just perfection but perfection according to them … saying things they would never dare to say to the face of the people they are commenting and actually not even think to say them because they are so unimportant.

Yeah, here we go again...she is wearing neutrals and letting the artwork be the star of the show. Christine

She looks great. Somehow, the white blouse doesn't"t wash her out, and the fullness of the blouse and skirt compliment her slim figure. Her feet are small enough to wear the delicate shoes. Excellent effort!

I do not like anything what I am seeing here. Not the dresses or skirts and blouse nor the shoes of the ladies. And Ben Sylvester Strautmann must have a dozen of shirts in this particular blue, because his shirts have all the same color.

What has the fact that some one is handsome to do with the way he is dressed. There are handsome men and beautiful women who are dressed very badly and there are people who are not looking beautiful but are wearing the most beautiful clothes. What all this have to do with respect ? Nothing. We are here on a fashion site remember. We discuss clothes, colors, lengths, shoes, shirts, etc....

      Real fashion ? were ?
The untucked shirt is fashion since a few years.
The dress of Alexandra is not exactly fashion but a summer outfit she already wore in the past.
The shirt dress of Charlotte is perhaps fashion now in France, but since I never liked the British shirt dresses I do not like them when they are made by French designers either.
The shoes are not fashion at all. They are all old rewear.

I surprise myself to say I like a modern Chanel but I like Charlotte’s boldly striped shirt dress. Frankly I would never pay the price for it, as I cannot find the price:value ratio of Chanel clothes remotely reasonable (unlike some other readers - and I totally respect your differing view!). But I think it is for Charlotte, crisp and summery and neat. I think it would have looked even better with her hair tied back and flat sandals or eg red ballerinas.

I agree. I’m loving the cool, modern styling of a standard white shirt and black skirt on the princess. She’s thin so the exaggerated shirt is balanced with the straight skirt lines. Fabulous!

Also love this Chanel dress…the color combo and cut is beautiful and it looks great on Charlotte with her brown hair. Also love the gold shoes.

Considering the price of the Chanel dress Charlotte Casiraghi is wearing (photo 3), I would expect the stripes on the side seams to match up. DIQ

I agree but I do think that's a fold on the skirt actually. It looks to me like the skirt folds on the sides of the button front to create the look of uneven stripes. I hope so anyway!

      Donnez le prix.
Pour Charlène personne ne se gêne à donner le prix de ses tenues alors pourquoi pas pour Charlotte et Cie

I have to agree with you about the non-matching stripes. They’re beautifully matched on the model, but on Charlotte, even if we give her a pass for the folds on the front of the skirt (though those match on the model too), the side seams are terrible. I do like the dress very much other than that.

Why worry about the price of these Chanel garments? Of course they never buy them, which is obvious, they are no doubt returned until a new creation arrives, and the advertising circus continues……I agree, Caroline looks a mess.

15:59 I would but I can’t find it. It’s a difficult site to peruse. But likely around eur6000 which is mind boggling for a simple summer dress.

Charlotte's dress is stunning. I personally liked the white one that was worn the other day however this is a lovely vibrant print and the footwear is perfect. A modern version of a shirt dress.

WHAT is going on with the back of Caroline’s blouse???!!! (That’s a rhetorical question, but I really am interested in any ideas as to the “why” here.). I have to assume, since no one has tapped her on the shoulder to let her know that the back of her blouse has escaped and seems to be growing — that the effect is intentional. What has happened to a person who does this to herself? smh

Nice to see Caroline with Charlotte and Alexandra. Caroline looks wonderful except for back portion of her blouse. It's not an issue of being not tucked in, it's the design. Love the black and white together but just not the back style of the blouse. Alexandra is re-wearing a red summer dress that is a great dress for the season. I like her choice of shoes better this time. My complaint is the same--the bodice needs to be re-fitted for her. It needs to be moved higher up across the bust--it sits too low. Finally Charlotte. Another pretty summer dress from Chanel. It looks great on Charlotte and she looks wonderful--her sandals are perfect for the dress too.

  14. The Chanel dress I dislike. I don't believe it was sewn well. The seams particularly seen in photo 3 not aligned at all, this for me is a pet hate. I don't like horizontal lines either, but Charlotte obviously liked this style so good for her.
I prefer this rewear of Alexandra's red dress, her black accessories, shoes and small bag(gorgeous) much better than what she wore previously. I do love the subtle necklace and earrings. She is wearing beautiful bracelets.
I don't find Princess Carolines, ensemble appealing, its probably trendy, but this look is not attractive to me.

Since we have commenters from the US, Europe, Australia, the UK (it is Europe too but their fashion styles are very different than in the rest of Europe), Japan, etc. .............

  17. I just love Princess Caroline's look. it is called high and low and her hair looks very elegant. Secondly, I like Charlottes dress, but wouldn't you think Chanel has some guidelines to follow when wearing their creations, like her unkempt hair for example!
