Prince George of Wales turned 13 today. Kensington Palace has released a new official photograph of Prince George, the eldest child of the Prince and Princess of Wales, to mark his 13th birthday, with the message: "Happy 13th birthday, George!" The photograph was taken by Matt Porteous at Kensington Palace shortly after Trooping the Colour last month.

      His hair is not as red as Prince Harry's was when he was a young boy. I hope he inherited the good hair quality of his mother and not of his father and uncle.

      At Anon 16:02. Wow. I think it's the lighting and the time of year. Some people's hair lightens a bit during the summer. In any event, you know it's not PC to reference "good" or "bad" hair. Hair is hair. You get what you get and do the best you can with it. His "quality" of hair looks pretty darn good to me whatever genes are dominate.

      @ Anon 19:32 very well said. I just wanted to add though that I think Anon 16:02 probably meant the "balding-gene" not hair per-se. I could be wrong though.

    Lovely boy, yes, no doubt about it. The first pic is a spontaneous, good "non-portrait" photo, really good as such. But the 2nd one is totally overexposed, hiding the contours of his face? They could have done better.
