The pattern and the colours of Stephanie,'s dress are a question of personal taste and there are people who like it, so why not. But (for me at least) it is not just a question of personal taste that for such a pattern not to be totally overwhelming, the surface should be smaller: short or cap sleeves or even better: no sleeves and hem just under the knee. But worn as it is: a big No.

The second dress (looked up elsewhere) is a smaller floral print green-only on white background and illustrates part of my above point (10:24) nicely: cap or double-cap sleeves, smaller unicolor print. Were it not for the length, it would be perfect.

You explained the issue perfectly! The bold pattern and colors have taken over. I like the cut of the dress because it’s structured with clean lines and think it would be great in different fabric.

The reasons why I don't like this floral dress for Stephanie are too many to enumerate. Even if the design were totally different, the huge bright pattern would still take attention away from her warm, smiling face, and dominate her colouring and features.
By way of contrast, the white printed maxi-dress Stephanie is wearing in the last photo, (from what we can see) looks light, graceful, and summery, with a touch of Grecian goddess which I think Stephanie channels effortlessly. It's a charming photo. Lyra

Lovely summery colors in the first dress but the overall appearance is a bit busy
    for my liking.
I prefer the softer colors of Stephanie's second dress.

Ze heeft zo'n symphatieke uitstraling , jammer ze kan er zoveel beter uitzien, ze verdient een beter stylist.

Stephanie seems overwhelmed by the loud pattern in this dress. Not a good look for her.

Love her flowery dresses, especially under a heat dome in Europe. Stephanie comes across as very friendly & personable. -Ann

  7. Big floral prints are very bold. The yellow colour is even more striking. The print is hard on the eyes but it certainly makes Stephanie stand out in the crowd. That's a plus for royalty.

  8. I am not doing cartwheels over this dress, but at least the fabric does not look like you would use it to line the inside of a coffin as some of her fabrics do!

  9. I have a little more liking for her second dress here, the first one overwhelms her with the huge rose pattern. Also, her (golden?) hair clip has moved down the ponytail so that the elastic band became visible. It was not secured properly.

Oh golly, I love Stephanie but I am surprised to see her in this gigantic floral print; I thought that avoiding gigantic floral prints was a fashion rule universally understood by us curvy ladies.

  11. I actually had a tablecloth that looks like that. Don't care for this dress

The big yellow flowers and the high waist makes this dress everything what GD Stéphanie doesn't suit. She has better summer dresses from 2025 or even earlier in her dressing room.

It's a nice try, but this doesn't work. It's overwhelming her head to toe. But it does make her stand out :)
