ReplyDeleteThat is such a good term for the styling: slouchy Chanel. The clash for me is between the mad pricing of Chanel and the fact that the same look can be achieved with H&M at around EUR60, less if she took advantage of the current summer sale. I’m not endorsing fast fashion but just contrasting the exceptionally expensive Chanel prices with the very inexpensive look. I have no problem with casual and think Charlotte looks far better on a hot summer day in this than the black suits behind her in the photos, it’s just a weird juxtaposition of price and low-price look. Modern Chanel remains a mystery to me.
Delete@02:29, exactly. There is nothing worth to look at here - or let me correct myself, Charlotte C. is a beautiful woman, nice to look at her, but she is nice to look at despite of what she is wearing.
DeleteCharlotte has always looked stunning in menswear-inspired items, which I recall from her days competing in equestrian events. Pants especially suit her naturally long confident stride (photo 3). This simple shirt and boyfriend-style jeans suit her face and figure far better in my opinion than many of her dresses, which often look either too mature or too girlish for her striking model-like frame.
ReplyDeleteHer jeans are at the fashionable long length which only works with a very limited band of heel heights, as I remember from my own experience wearing this pant length trend years ago. For these shoes, I would fold the cuffs up, cow-girl style. Lyra

DeleteThe blue Chanel shirt is too loose fitting and baggy for my liking. The overall look is not elegant to me. Regardless Charlotte obviously likes it, that is all that matters. The bright pink handbag looks interesting, I'd like to see a close up of that, to get a overall look at the bag.

Hon är ansiktet utåt för Chanel och då bär man plagg därifrån.
Jag gillar stilen och tycker att det passar en elegant bohemisk stil mycket väl.
I love this casual look. The Chanel shirt looks so comfortable. Rolling up the sleeves makes it look more stylish.

ReplyDeleteShe’s very beautiful and naturally feminine and has the “je ne sais quoi” that allows her to get away with whatever she wants to wear including occasionally a masculine clothing item … which still looks so feminine. Lucky her, eh?! I don’t agree that there’s “always” a certain masculinity … mostly we see her in heels and Chanel dresses in recent years.

2. To me this look not slouchy, nor bohemian. It just looks casual.
3. People seem to forget that Charlotte is a model for Chanel, whether one like it or not, she is earning money by representing the brand.
4. Even if she does not like it herself, she is under contract and she will wear what Chanel is expecting her to wear.
5. Personally I like her in this style. When she is wearing dresses by Chanel I only like it very occasionaly.
I like Charlotte in this jeans which is not too wide. I also like the light blue shirt with fine lines. It is not too wide just fine. Her beautiful shoes are marvellous with the length of the pants. She is carrying a red Chanel bag which is creating a fresh spot for the summer. She is the re-incarnation of the rich girl dressed casual.

DeleteSorry I didn't find the right word for what I was trying to explain. English is not my mothertongue : la façon dont elle est habillée ici me fait penser à la fille riche habillée un peu nonchalante. Par contre ses cheveux sont jolîment ondulés.
