During their meeting, they discussed, among other topics, Gisèle Pelicot’s international bestselling autobiography, A Tribute to Life, how she lives her life today, and how she has managed to use her platform to benefit others.

Gisèle Pelicot is a French woman who became a feminist icon in 2024 when she waived her right to anonymity as the victim in a multiple rape case. She was appointed a Knight of the Legion of Honour on Bastille Day. In February 2026, she published a co-written memoir. On 20 February 2026, Gisèle launched the English edition of her memoir at an event at the Royal Festival Hall. Three days later, she was invited to tea with Queen Camilla.

      10:51 is that a genuine question - or a comment? Shame is such a difficult emotion but we rarely have control over it; if we feel it, it frequently takes a lot of time to work through it. It tends to be spontaneous and natural when things happen to us that feel so bad we can’t talk about them. Gisele is an example of someone who overcame her shame to speak about it and get the blame laid in the right place.
