Princess Benedikte of Denmark is in Siem Reap, Cambodia, to attend the Olave Baden-Powell Society’s (OB-PS) Annual General Meeting, taking place from 17–20 June 2026. The meeting is being held in connection with the 39th World Conference of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. Princess Benedikte has served as Chair of the Girl Scouts Council.
When the Olave Baden-Powell Society was founded in 1984, Princess Benedikte and Queen Ingrid became joint patrons of the organisation. OB-PS supports the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, a global voluntary association for girl guides and girl scouts.
Well I never thought Princess Benedikte would wear culottes!

ReplyDeleteFor this particular visit Pss Bene looks well groomed, appropriately dressed. Her hair looks well styled. She is such a great support to the King, a wonderful role model. She has marvelous work ethic.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised to see Princess Benedikte in an outfit like this. I remember her seeing in a light cotton shirt dress in the past when the weather was hot. I think it would have been better for her. And if she absolutely would wear trousers and a top, I would have chosen long linen trousers and a top that fits better. I see that the skin of her legs is red. I suppose she has a very sensible skin, better to protect it with long pants or a long shirt dress.
ReplyDeleteLast time I was there it was super dusty so nothing too elegant is better. I find this a very comfortable outfit for the region and humidity and it will fit in well. Trousers are definitely hotter than long shorts so this outfit is very appropriate. And it’s a scouting and guiding meeting so it’s about practicality not elegance.

DeleteThe majority of the ladies in the picture are wearing long trousers too. It is not the little piece of linen which will make the difference between a culotte and long pants. To me a simple shirt dress made of a light cotton or linen fabric is not particularly elegant nor are long linen or cotton trousers. These are just clothes which are chosen because they are practical..
This Princess always looks dressed for the occasion and she hasn’t disappointed on this occasion. Perfect for the weather.
ReplyDeleteI usually admire princess Benedikte for her regal style, but this time I find her outfit too casual, a loose skirt would have made the summery look more elegant. Although her hair is always impeccable, it is somewhat short and slightly masculine.

It’s a scout and guide event. Not about elegance. They may well have had some activities to do as well as sitting.
DeleteWow what a perfect choice for the princess. The loose fit must be a welcomed change from wearing a dress or skirt in the hot humid weather.
