On June 10, 2026, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia attended the Holy Mass celebrated by His Holiness to mark the centenary of the death of Antoni Gaudí, as well as the blessing of the Tower of Jesus at the Basilica of the Sagrada Família. The King and Queen welcomed His Holiness Pope Leo XIV upon his arrival at the Basilica of the Sagrada Família in Barcelona.
The King and Queen and Pope Leo XIV listened to an explanation by Valentina Sánchez, a 13-year-old blind girl, about a tactile model of the Tower of Jesus Christ of the Basilica of the Sagrada Família. Her participation highlights the collaboration between the Sagrada Família and the ONCE Foundation–Catalonia, which have been working together since 2013 to make the basilica more accessible for people with visual impairments.
For this solemn ceremony, Queen Letizia once again made use of the “privilege of white,” the historic Vatican prerogative that allows Catholic queens to wear white in the presence of the Pope. She wore the same bespoke white dress by the Spanish fashion house Redondo Brand that she had first worn at the Mass marking the beginning of Pope Leo XIV’s pontificate in the Vatican on 19 May 2025.

She is a tall and slender woman who always looks impeccable in almost anything she wears. This fitted white dress accompanied with white purse and really smart shoes with low kitten heels looks wonderful.

حذفThis is the 3rd white dress she is wearing to meet the pope. Another pastel colored dress could be worn too, just like her daughters the other day. But I like the pencil skirt of this dress better than the wide skirts of the 2 other dresses.

ردحذفWhile I would prefer to see Letizia's Redondo dress from last year shortened by a few inches (due to her low heels), the dress itself is still stunning. Letizia has had the sleeves shortened to 3/4 length, which is super flattering for most women, and has given the dress more elegance.
