On May 21, 2026, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima, Princess Amalia, Princess Alexia, and Princess Ariane of the Netherlands attended the annual spring photo session in the Dutch Garden at the Clingendael Estate in The Hague. The garden, with its boxwood hedges and flower beds, was created in the early 20th century and inspired by 17th-century garden design.

Eva, let the young lady be. It’s very poor form to criticise how young people look. It can be very harmful.

yes Ariane made no effort this time, even the shirt looks shabby! Even Maxima's top is not the best.
      Amalia looks very stylish casual.
Alexia is very glamorous, perhaps going on a dinner date afterwards.

I love how the young princesses have their own individual style. It’s refreshing to see them wear what feels good on them. They all look good.

Great set of photos, each in their individual style. Not keen on the PJ look, not the Natan. love CA short white jacket very becoming with jeans and re Reiss suits Alexia especially with the belt.

This time, none of the royal ladies strikes me as being elegant, maybe Alexia in her green dress.

Not so sure about some of these outfits … I’ll just say lovely family and leave it at that.

Maxima's hair looks really nice here. Not so sure about her outfit; it looks as though the top and bottom don't quite match. At least the trousers are a better length on her than on the model - ridiculously long there! I don't like Ariane's outfit at all, I'm afraid. She looks as if she's wearing a very old fashioned pair of pyjama bottoms. Amalia's jacket goes well with the jeans - smart/casual. It's much like the kind of jacket Queen Silvia would wear, without the jeans of course! Alexia's asymmetrical dress suits her - I've noticed she tends to pose more than the others. The colour of her accessories contrasts well with the green - not an easy colour to wear. The most important thing to me is, they seem a very happy family.

Whether I like the outfits or not, this much I will say: all three sisters are wearing things that correctly reflect their own individual style, character and personality. Of the three, I like Alexia's outfit the best. It looks smart and fun, and the boots, belt and bag work very well to give an edge for a casual yet formal look.
Amalia's jeans and cropped jacket are a nice idea. I'd have preferred narrower jeans to compliment her good figure as, to me, I think the wider jean legs make her look less streamlined however much in fashion they may be.
Ariane's outfit is my least favourite but I'm glad that the blouse redeems it slightly. The wide striped trousers give me a pyjama vibe, and the sleek satin top looks out of place paired with the trousers, though it is a lovely top. We know that she favours striped clothing as she wears them often so this is what I mean that each of the sisters have selected styles and outfits that match their taste and personality (fun, formal, and relaxed, starting with Amalia). There's a lot to be said for that.
Maxima looks lovely and I much prefer her style of the outfit without the cape compared to the model shown; the King looks very proud of his four ladies, as he rightly deserves to be.
