On May 19, 2026, Princess Madeleine of Sweden visited the Hippocampus Foundation’s activities at Stall Kungsgården on Lovön, Ekerö. The Princess began serving as patron of the foundation in 2026. At Stall Kungsgården, the Hippocampus Foundation provides an environment with horses for therapeutic, educational, and health-promoting activities.
The programs are primarily aimed at children and young people with neuropsychiatric, motor, or intellectual difficulties, as well as individuals requiring rehabilitation after serious illnesses. During the visit, Princess Madeleine was given a tour of the facilities, the stables, and the riding hall. At the grooming areas and in the outdoor paddock, the Princess met some of the children and young people participating in the activities.
