On her final day in Istanbul, Queen Mathilde took part in a meeting with multilateral banks and Turkish financial institutions to discuss financing and cooperation opportunities for large-scale projects in Turkey. The Turkish Minister of Treasury and Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank also attended. Afterwards, together with the Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology, the Queen visited the MEXT Technology Centre.
At Istanbul University, the Queen attended a seminar on cooperation in the biopharmaceutical sector, with a particular focus on rare diseases. She also met with patient representatives. She then met with Turkish Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek before attending a lunch with FEB and TUSIAD, one of Turkey’s leading business federations.

Another beautiful outfit on the last day (yesterday) of her participation at the economic mission. CP Elisabeth is called the secret weapon of Laeken. From now on we can call Q. Mathilde the secret diplomat and negotiator of Laeken. She proved she has the right skills to do this job.
ReplyDeleteFrom tonight on she will follow the finals of the Queen Elisabeth competition for cello again. I wonder what she will wear, perhaps one of her older outfits. After that on thursday (an holiday in Belgium) and a boxing day on friday Q. Mathilde can finally take a rest.

DeleteI did not say it was only in Belgium. I said it was a holiday, which is true. I know the name in French which is Ascension too. I know the name in Dutch (Flemish) which is Hemelvaart. But I didn't know the name in English was the same as in French. Satisfied now ?
DeleteHard to see, but the skirt may be la lace overlay, but regardless of details, the skirt is a great color and length. Paired with a classic white shirt and heels, the Queen looks fantastic. She is shining on her solo tour!
ReplyDeleteIt is a white silk or satin skirt with a burgundy lace overlay. It is a bit visible on pics.7 and 8. Queen Maxima has the same skirt in dark green. They are both by Natan.
