On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, Queen Mary of Denmark visited the University of Copenhagen on the occasion of the presentation of the 2026 Queen Mary Scholarships. The scholarships are awarded annually to two talented Australian exchange students who have distinguished themselves through their academic achievements, commitment, and personal motivation.
This year, Queen Mary awarded the scholarships to Saffron Dewsnap from Deakin University and Charlotte Ines Ostrowski from the University of Melbourne. The purpose of the scholarships is to recognize and support students who actively seek academic and cultural development through their stay in Denmark.

Mary looks lovely in this pretty, spring outfit, although my feet hurt just looking at pictures of her extremely high heels. She looks tireder than usual, especially in the first picture, which is understandable given the death of her father and Queen Margrethe’s recent hospitalization.

I agree on the high heels, they are making a woman's feet so unnatural and sometimes even deformed looking, as well as making one tired. Why Europes Queens wear these torturous shoes only they will know!
DeleteHer feet must be aching too, she is walking on tiptoe!
DeleteAgree !!
DeleteAgree on all points. The shoes deform the foot and leg proportions while worn (and eventually it’s permanent damage). She would look lovely in shoes of any height, but this is madness.
DeleteThe shoes are gorgeous. Wear them while you can, Queen Mary. Eventually you have to give in and accept something lower. I can no longer manage anything so high but I’m envious of those who do.
Delete@ 20:41,"Why Europes Queens wear these torturous shoes only they will know": It is not only Europe's Queens who do it. I don't say it is good, but I am sure you know the answer as well as we all know it.
DeleteAgreed! the "heel pitch" on those high heels is very extreme (she might as well be in ballet toe shoes standing on point; goodness!). I'm surprised she hasn't started to have problems with her arches after all these years - unless she already has and is just enduring the pain.
DeleteShe is as beautiful as ever on all photos - save that first one. I always ask myself if I'd be happy to know that people explain my photos with my innermost feelings (they cannot know). It's just one photo.
DeleteI don't think she walks all day on these pumps🥲
DeleteShe has just lost her father and that grief doesn’t leave you just like that. Now the Queen not well.
Deleteshe really loves this blouse!
ReplyDeletei wonder if she ever got time to go to her father's funeral.
I like very much this blouse, she must be very found of it, since we have seen it several times.
DeleteI don't like the overdone/look-at-me-I-am-design neckline of the blouse. It looks like a crumpled piece of fabric (what it actually is), combined with a keyhole feature that Mary loves. What I love is Mary's perfect sense for skirt length. The model wears the same length, but as Mary is probably not as tall as the model, she modified it as desired. - Beautiful earrings ... If I find what it is, I always try to look it up, she has beautiful modern jewelry.
ReplyDeleteLook at me? If any queen is look at me, it is not Mary, it is Maxima. Mary always looks appropriate and stylish.
DeleteThe top is a very interesting design with the ruching of the collar and neckline as well as the bell sleeves. The light blue colour is also attractive. However, as much as I love the top I don't think it goes well with the flared skirt. There seems to be too much fabric. The way the skirt is pictured on the model with a more fitted blouse creates a more appealing outfit.
ReplyDeleteYes, exactly, well observed.
DeleteThe heels are too high, she almost trips over.
ReplyDeleteThe top is a lovely colour and interesting design which would be difficult to wear for many, but Mary can get away with it because of her trim figure. I think it would look better with slim trousers though, as shown on one of the models. She could certainly wear shoes with lower heels!
ReplyDeleteMary has worn this VB blouse many, many times and it always looks good on her. This time is no exception. She looks smart and stylish.

Mary a l'air fatigué. Pas de sac ? Ça manque.
ReplyDeleteSpot on. Like this blouse to.

In photo 3, her toes are not in the shoe because its cut very low on the front and a very pointed shape. I dont know anyone with feet that shape
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit and she has a nice appereance.
ReplyDeleteShe looks really pretty, but tired I hope that is temporarily. And she will not lose good spirit when we speak about looking amazing.
ReplyDeleteThis VB Blouse is beautiful, its unique and different, I love the design of this blouse, its very eye catching. Love the color, sublime.
ReplyDeleteI love that QM can wear something pretty simple (blouse, skirt) and make it look spectacular. She looks lovely and it's a perfect outfit for spring. I think the jewelry is chalcedony, which is wonderful and I don't recall seeing her wear it before.
ReplyDeleteShe looks good in a blouse and skirt, though I like the blouse I find all VB designs too clingy. For me the bell sleeves would be in the way just hanging. Her hair loves very nice this length.
ReplyDeleteI like the blouse because it has a beautiful color. But that is about the only reason why I find it beautiful. I prefer the blouses by Hugo Boss worn by Queen Letizia which have a better neckline. The cream skirt looks a bit simple, maybe it is made by a young tailor, who made his first skirt all by himself. The last picture on the left shows Queen Mary whose hair is looking much more beautfiful. With her hair in a side part she looks much better and she is not the only one.
ReplyDeleteCan't Mary not afford a new blouse?
ReplyDeleteVictoria Beckham har väl aldrig lyckats göra något elegant och minnesvärt plagg.Den här blusen ser nästan fånig ut.
ReplyDeleteMary gillar klackar och det ser ut att gå bra i dem också.
Fin kjol.
This blouce is far too busy for a blouce. The slit sleeves and the tie not collar, battling it out. We’ve seen similar designs in Hugo Boss blouces, for a fraction of the cost. I love the cream skirt and the shoes. I applaud QM wearing heels on the cobbled path.
