On May 14, 2026, Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the opening of the 17th Ibero-American Conference of Ministers of Health at the Teatro Real in Madrid. The meeting forms part of the preparatory process for the 30th Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, which will be held in Madrid in November 2026.
Prior to the event, the Queen also met with the heads of delegation attending the meeting of health ministers from Ibero-American countries, as well as representatives of organizations dedicated to rare diseases across the Ibero-American region.
Moises Nieto Fuchsia dress

This is so nice! Perfectly tailored and the simple style is perfect for the vibrant colour! I love it.
ReplyDeleteBelle silhouette dans ce style de robe de couleur fuchsia ; bon choix que ses chaussures à petits talons !
ReplyDeletePerfect fit,, the waist line and 3/4 sleeve are very becoming. Great colour for her. I do miss a necklace or something to add interest.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing that a necklace would add so much to the dress. Maybe a single strand of pearls.
DeleteShe does have fabulous earrings and they get more space without necklace.
DeleteYoung women (queens and princesses included) do not wear "strand of pearls" anymore. It is out of fashion.

DeleteI have to respectfully disagree with you. Pearls are classic and will never go out of style. They have been around for centuries and regardless of age (young or old) are timeless. They will always be treasured.
Do you see Queen Letitiza with pearls ? Never
DeleteDo you see Queen Mathilde with pearls ? 1 to 3 times since she became queen
Do you see Queen Maxima with pearls ? idem as Q. Mathilde
Do you see Queen Mary with pearls ? perhaps a little bit more than the 2 other QM.
Do you see Princess Caroline with pearls ? If the pearls in her Chanel necklaces are real ones, she is wearing pearls sometimes, but not often.
Do you see Princess Charlene wearing pearls ? I didn't.
The only ladies who are still wearing pearls are older (former) queens like Sonja of Norway, Sylvia of Sweden, Beatrix of The Netherlands and Sofia of Spain. And of course not to forget the older ladies of the BRF.
The only pearls every royal lady is wearing regularly are in earrings, sometimes in brooches and extraordinary in a ring like Queen Maxima.
Of the younger generation of royal ladies I never see any wearing a pearl necklace.
I never said you cannot have them, just that the younger generations of women (incl. queens, princesses, etc...) do not wear them almost any more.
If you don't believe me check the pictures of all the queens and princesses you know and you will see who still wears them and who do not.
Are royals the best examples of style? As we often see they sometimes miss the mark. Just because they rarely wear pearls does not mean they are for old ladies. Princess Diana, Jackie Onassis & Audrey Hepburn wore pearls. They are still icons of fashion & style. They wore them when they were young. Pearls will never go out of style. Do diamonds & gold go out of style? Never! And neither will pearls. Young brides in the prime of their life wear pearls.

DeleteI didn't talk about the royals alone ? Sorry to say but you are living in the past. The people who worn them when they were young are dead since a long time. The discussion was not about diamonds or gold but about pearls. Young brides ? Young people do not marry that often the last years. I am almost 80, when I got married in 1968 wearing pearls was for the mother of the bride. The bride was not supposed to wear much jewelry. Just a thin golden bracelet and a thin golden chain with a crucifix (when you were catholic), an engagement ring and the wedding ring you received on that day. That's all.
I still have my pearls too you know, occasionally I wear them, but not often, because I dress classic but young and they do not match the clothes I wear. I don't think my daughter in law would like to have them because she is wearing modern jewelry (real jewelry not fake). Well, when I am not there any more they can do what they like with my pearls.
Hi Anon. 18/5/26 13:49
DeleteI don't think I am living in the past because if you look online you will find the current trends with pearls. There are a lot of new, modern &
contemporary styles that the younger generation is embracing. Maybe you are thinking of one single strand of very small pearls which I admit is a bit boring. Please use Google and search "Are pearls out of style in 2026"? If you have an open mind you will see they are still very popular. because they are an amazing, natural substance of great beauty. Those things are cherished forever. I sincerely hope your daughter in law will come to appreciate your pearls and pass them down to future generations.
P.S. Jackie Kennedy Onassis FAKE three strand pearl necklace sold at auction for almost $212,000 US. She is dead but her pearls live on.
Letizia a cette belle allure à en faire pâlir plus d une. Un bonbon cette robe
ReplyDeletePerfection…the length, proportions, 3/4 sleeves, color, flared skirt are all working beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing Letizia wear this type of fitted bodice in her dresses - a look which used to be her signature day dress style over 15 years ago, when she first came into the public eye. In my view, no royal wears a fitted dress better than Letizia.
ReplyDeleteIn those days the fashionable skirt shape was more classic -- straighter, narrower (pencil skirt style) and shorter (to the mid knee) - a style I want to see revived! https://royalcorrespondent.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/x610-5.jpg
Today's skirt looks too limp to my eye, being so long and so wide. Lyra
Great fit and very nice dress. also, lovely color.

The dress is beautiful on the queen, but if it was a bit shorter it would be much more elegant. Her dresses kept the same length as before she had to wear low heels. If you look at the last picture on the left you see a picture of QL when she still wore higher heels. The skirt of the dress falls better and although the length was the same, the queen looked more elegant than today with the same dress. The problem with those lower heels, especially with sling backs is that the width of the shoes seems to be too wide. The problem seems the same with the Chanel look-a-like shoes of the PoW and the kitten heels of QL.
ReplyDeleteThe dress is nice, but I don't like the waistline or the neckline. The overall look is very bland, it needs something to add some splash. Her hair looks unkempt.
ReplyDeleteThere we go again. Why wouldn't she not have kempt her hair. It looks good with a bit of soft big curls in the ends.Besides on these pictures one cannot see how exactly her hair has been done. Maybe there was a lot of wind outside, before she came in. Proof she doesn't use hairspray.
DeleteShe looks wonderful!
ReplyDeletebeautiful simple design, but I think something is missing... it is perfect and still a bit boring
