On May 10, 2026, Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie, accompanied by Prince Charles and Prince François, took part in the closing procession marking the conclusion of the Octave celebrations in Luxembourg. The event brought together numerous pilgrims, members of the faithful, and representatives of various associations. The Octave honors Our Lady of Luxembourg, the patron saint of both Luxembourg City and the nation.
Starting from the Notre-Dame Cathedral of Luxembourg, the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess joined the procession through the city alongside pilgrims, faithful participants, and members of various associations. The afternoon concluded with the traditional balcony appearance at the Palace, from where the Grand Ducal Couple and their children greeted the public.

Oh dear, it is a lovely colour on her, but my goodness the fit is not becoming. It most likely is a Natan design, based on the way the fabric just hangs in all the wrong places. If not it is typical of their designs, letting the fabric flow and create motion for the design. It might work on a very tall, very thin person.
ReplyDeleteSafiyaa is the designer. Not sure why the tag NATAN appears at the base of the blog post.
DeleteThe concept of Stephanie's ensemble is beautiful, and would look lovely on her, were it not for the poor fit --- as we have seen on a few earlier occasions. Also, the waist seam of the top does not meet the waistline of the pants -- so a more custom design is required.
ReplyDeleteStephanie deserves better help from her stylist/dressmaker than she is currently getting. Lyra
Surement Nathan avec ce noeud. Jolie tenue mais le haut devrait être plus long, cela avantagerait Stéphanie. Voir ainsi la fourche la désavantage. Josée.
ReplyDeleteSafiyaa, not Natan
DeleteThis outfit, while good in concept, isn’t working because neither piece fits well. There’s too much gaping and pulling, and it’s highlighted due to the light colored fabric. I understand that she may not be interested in fashion, but this is a big event with lots of public interaction and photos, so the time is here to get a tailor and stylist on the team.
ReplyDeleteAt least, get clothes with a good fit! She would look so much better!
DeleteI feel her blouse/top needs to be longer. Her hair looks beautiful. Styled well, natural and flowing.
ReplyDeleteThe outfit is too small for her frame
ReplyDeleteVery elegant and successful for Stephanie. I do find it brave to wear tight trouser material past about age 18 but it works really neatly for her.
Unfortunately, an ill fitting top and trousers for her... Also, the colour is like hmmmmm.
ReplyDeletePlease someone get her a stylist/better stylist. This outfit could be so successful if it fit properly. She is such a beautiful woman, but her clothes don’t help her. LRB
ReplyDeleteI’m sure if she wanted to take or change stylist she would. She has access to wealth and can do this. But I don’t think she wants to. Or she would have. Like all of us she’s doing her best and probably really enjoys the clothes she chooses.
DeleteYou are 100% correct. A good stylist and a great tailor could make Stephanie look amazing.
DeletePerhaps more supportive undergarment
DeleteThe top is a little tight but I think she looks nice.
ReplyDeleteNo, she doesn't. This outfit stresses all the wrong parts because top and trousers are too tight. And it must be uncomfortable to wear such tight garments. Hasn't she got anybody, a stylist, to tell and advise her?
DeleteHang on 18:38, if 8:57 says she thinks Stephanie looks nice, you don’t get to cancel her opinion! You can have your own but not negate others’! I happen to agree with 8:57 and think Stephanie looks great, even if the trousers are a bit tight. Most women unless very finely built have a bit of pulling one way or the other in their trousers!
DeleteI think every woman knows darker colours make you look slimmer and lighter colours bigger. This white combi is só not good for the lady with the beautifull face and hair: what a pity.
ReplyDeleteAgree! This color, particularly in a cling-y knit fabric, is an unfortunate choice. And the only good thing about the too-tight pants is their length.
DeleteMaybe she accepts herself as she is, one of the greatest gifts we can each give ourselves for happiness. And therefore she dresses how she wants, without trying to hide who she is? Sounds really good, eh?!
DeleteThis wonderful lady has so much going for her, internally and externally, but it pains me to see her in an ensemble that is, sorry, a disaster, and I do not want to go into the personal details.
ReplyDelete🌞 Virginia
Virginia, I feel the same. You sum it up well. — Jane
DeleteI think she looks really good. Nowhere near a disaster. Sure the pants are a little tight - but she’s a human woman and allowed to have a few creases.
DeleteAwful outfit. Far too tight ,top and pants (hips). Just awful. I fully agree with those comments that describe this strange pantsuit as a desastert
ReplyDeleteGrand Duchess: The top is fine if paired with a midi skirt. But those pants - tight on the thighs - accentuate every imperfection of the figure and the crinkling of the fabric unnecessarily draws attention to the crotch.
ReplyDeleteStephanie
The poor fit is due to the undergarments. They should finish where the waist band sits. This was the same for her evening gown for the big birthday celebrations. Her stylist is lacking certain talents.
ReplyDeleteThere’s a stylist?
DeleteI have to agree with the majority of comments, that there are problems with the fit of the pants, but I’ll go further and ask Really?? A pantsuit, and no head covering (hat or chapel veil, the latter being a lovely alternative to a hat) at a major event in the cathedral? Cannot a Catholic Grand Duchess manage to wear a skirt or a dress, with a hat or at least a headband, on such occasions? (I think we’ve all given up on royal ladies wearing gloves.) Granted that standards have seemed to be sinking lower with every passing year, but it would be so refreshing to see somebody — especially lovely Stephanie! — courageously buck the trend. SMH 🤦♀️
DeleteBeautiful ensemble....the blouse could be longer.
ReplyDeleteThough she is stunning.
Isn't there anyone around that could perhaps tailor/fit her clothes a little bit better? Is she buying these outfits right from the rack? Makes me wonder. It would just take some tweaks here and there, some adjustments, to give her looks a solid upgrade. I gather the colour is not stark white, but something with a "mint-y" underlying tone??? Do I need better eyewear, or am I on the right track?
ReplyDeleteIf she would just put on some better supportive undergarments it would help.
ReplyDeleteI think the comments here are for the most part, not at all what you would dare to say to Stephanie’s face! She has a much more difficult to dress body than Catherine, Mary, etc. She’s doing her best. Please don’t shred her best attempts by calling them a disaster! Yes this is a fashion blog; no it doesn’t give anyone the right to criticise another human. Imagine how she’d feel if she read your comments and look to stay kind.
ReplyDeleteIf she asked my opinion I would be honest. Having said that if she is comfortable wearing clothes for variety rather than a signature look that looks good for her. I have a similar shape and opt for something that does not cling to my curvy form. I applaud her that she is happy with herself.
DeleteShe’s not asking our opinions, that’s the point. I agree with 19:03. This set of comments is not about fashion but about Stephanie, and it’s gone too far.
DeleteThis stretchy Safiyaa top and trousers were designed for a slimmer figure than Stephanie's. I've seen the model photos on the Safiyaa site. But Stephanie is the wearer, and if she feels comfortable wearing the pieces, then more power to her, as comfort is important. The stretchy fabric does look comfortable (like lycra does for exercising) despite the top and trousers looking too tight or snug to our eyes.

GDss Stephanie looks lovely in white. The two little Princes are the cutest. Sadly, no more members of the family joined in the celebrations.
