On April 2, 2026, Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako met with French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, on the final day of the French head of state’s visit to Japan. Macrons arrived in Tokyo on March 31. The French President and his wife departed Japan on Thursday for fellow U.S. ally South Korea.

DeleteMadame Macron looks very elegant indeed, right up to the shoes and matching purse. The empress is not into high fashion of course, but she does look somewhat boring, although, to be fair, the fabric of her suit deserves a close look.

Mme Macron is 100% reliable in her excellent dress choices. She doesn’t look happy, and I wonder how hard it is to do this job that she does so well for so long. A paid political role is something you can resign from; but the demands on the partner to a country leader must be extremely heavy.
ReplyDeleteMadame Macron has an excellent taste and knows very well, what is favourable for her , be it evening gown, day dress or casual clothing. Of course it helps to have a slim figure, but one can mis-dress even the best figure. This does not happen to her. Extra points for hair back.
