On March 8, 2026, Emperor Naruhito, Empress Masako and their daughter, Princess Aiko attended the 2026 World Baseball Classic first-round game between Japan and Australia at Tokyo Dome. The 2026 World Baseball Classic is an international professional baseball tournament between 20 national baseball teams.
According to the Imperial Household Agency of Japan, this was the first imperial attendance at an international baseball game in about 60 years, since the Japan–U.S. baseball game in November 1966. It was Princess Aiko’s first time attending.

Now, this is a beautiful hairstyle on Princess Aiko. Love the family colour-coordination.
ReplyDeleteShe had her hair trimmed !!!
DeleteWell, it's plain for all to see, indeed.
DeleteThe hair style is lovely on her as well as the color of the jacket. MR
DeleteI hope that, while keeping the same basic style, Aiko will allow her hair to grow to shoulder-length, which I think would be very flattering. It is the style in which Empress Masako -- then Masako Owada -- wore her hair when she became engaged to then-Crown Prince Naruhito. -- Jane
DeleteWaouh, magnifiques toutes les trois ; Aiko a adopté une nouvelle coiffure après avoir fait couper ses cheveux !
ReplyDeleteOh my what a perfect hair cut for the princess, frames her pretty face. The deeper pastel colour blue is such a lovely colour for her. Wow she looks great.
ReplyDeleteLove both these beautiful blue outfits
ReplyDeleteWell no, effectively her face is exactly the same shape as last week! She has a beautiful face, still young, and it looks very well with her new choice of haircut. I think her minimal fringe sits better in this style than in her former pony tail. Gorgeous choice!
DeleteI agree with Eugenie: the turned-in bob hairstyle does create the impression of a rounder face. This particular style would have that effect on anyone, and is best suited to a thin face. Aiko is so pretty that she can wear almost any hairstyle successfully, but I am sorry that she cut her beautiful long hair; she looked so beautiful with it styled in elegant updos. Her outfit is ok, but as seems to so often be the case, the skirt has a bit too much volume, and a pencil skirt would create a nicer silhouette. I’m so grateful, though, that she does not seem to be a fan of pantsuits! ❤️
DeleteLovely new hair style. Much younger and more up-to-date than her long hair.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like both their outfits were cut from the same cloth.
ReplyDeletePrincess Aiko's new hairstyle really suits her!!
ReplyDelete愛子さまは幼少期から超ロング→ボブを繰り返しているので、ヘアドネーションしているのではと言われていますね
ReplyDelete大学生の頃ぶりのボブですが、当時とまた印象が違って大人っぽくて素敵です
I heard Pss Aiko donated her hair. She must have grown it out for quite a while for that, and cutting that much off probably took some courage. That’s really nice of her.
ReplyDeleteThe Empress's pantsuit looks beautiful, color, fit and style. Love the colorful silk scarf, adding interest and looks chic. The accessory color is perfect.
ReplyDeleteReally Cuuuuteeeee hair🌼🌼💝
ReplyDeleteThe Princess new hairstyle is so flattering. It frames her face beautifully.
ReplyDeleteLowri.
Beautiful outfits in lovely shades of blue. However, it might be nice if the ladies switched the outfits. I think Masako's pants suit has a more youthful vibe and would like nicer on Princess Aiko look than the dress. Just my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love princess Aiko's new hairstyle. It really suits her. And the blue that both she and her mum wear is quite flattering.
