On April 2, 2026, King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan, along with Prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck, Prince Ugyen, and Princess Sonam Yangden, are undertaking a Royal Visit to eastern Bhutan.
The King and Queen, together with their children, visited Yonphula Lhakhang and the new Yonphula Shedra, a Royal Project. While in the east, the Royal Family will also attend the second edition of the Rhododendron Festival in Sheytemi, Merak.
I am always in awe of the traditional dress and colors of this garments, such beautiful combined shades. The Queen's fabric colors are so pretty. Very elegant look. The silk fabric, must be divine to wear against the skin.
