On March 17, 2026, the Princess of Wales visited Mons Barracks in Aldershot for the Irish Guards’ St. Patrick’s Day Parade, marking Ireland’s patron saint’s day. In her role as Colonel of the Irish Guards, she attended the annual parade and service. Afterwards, the Princess met with soldiers and their families.
The Princess wore a forest green wool coat by Alexander McQueen. Underneath, she wore a black pleated dress. She accessorised with pointed-toe black boots with a slim heel by Ralph Lauren, a black scarf, Asprey London’s “Emerald and Diamond Halo Earrings,” and a hat by Gina Foster Millinery.

I really like this look. The coat is a re-wear. The belt and shoulder pads, do give her a lovely shape. Her height allows her the longer length.
ReplyDeleteI love the Celtic theme in her updo. The emerald and diamond earrings are the right amount of sparkle. This definitely one of Princess of Wales’s better polished looks.
Lowri.
She look lovely
DeleteBasically, different year same outfit.
ReplyDeleteDifferent year, same event requiring same colour. The accessoires are not really the same. And if it is cold, what should she wear, a summer dress? Have a look at all these boring outfits: : https://www.tatler.com/gallery/every-look-the-princess-of-wales-has-worn-on-st-patricks-day.
Deletegood. she is a working woman not a fashion plate
DeleteIt's called an opinion. The outfits often look the same. I wish she would change it up a bit. Very different from the Queen Mother's time.😄It's her signature but a little stale to me too. I don't love the coat but her hat is good and that's the best updo she's had in a long time. A bit smoother and it would be perfect.
DeleteI was going to say the exact same thing! Rem
DeleteCatherine looks immaculately groomed and elegant. Lovely updo and emerald and diamond earrings.

Kate looks polished in this beautiful kelly green outfit. The hat, the belt, the gloves and the boots are great accessories and pull everything together. Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI think she looks wonderful! The shade of green suits her well but for me the real star is the dog!
ReplyDeleteHair looks terrible in bunches. Eye makeup too dark. Boring long coat,Kate is not choosing styles that flatter her slim figure, Earrings look nice (Tara)
ReplyDeleteBut what do you think about the dog? 😊
DeleteJeepers Tara, not a lot of encouragement there for the poor woman! I find Catherine so very well groomed and dressed in every single instance, even if some clothes she chooses are not ones I’d choose.
DeleteWhat @21:57 / calls "bunches", is a celtic knot. Too refined for people used to celebrity looks and standards.
DeleteEver heard of the "Celtic Knot"? That is how she chose to style her hair for that particular event. Very befitting the whole occasion/theme. Also, the coat is long, yes, but not too long, and that is because she is rather slim and tall. So, the coat very well enhances her slim and trim figure. Why say "Kate"? She is Catherine, The Princess of Wales.
DeleteThe rewear of this coat looks splendid, gorgeous color. The hat looks beautiful. Its lovely to see her looking well and engaging. Love the diamond and emerald earrings, appropriate for this day event.
ReplyDeleteHi, @ Ava,
DeleteI left something for you in the post re: Mother's Day , featuring Princess Diana and William.
Thank you so much for your lovely replies.
As for the Princess of Wales, yes I do agree with you.
This is exactly what she Is supposed to wear on this occasion, I find everything appropriate and her earrings are gorgeous as well as her intricate up style.
Hugs!!
👍💪👋
Relief to see her hair up in such a beautiful style and not dragging down and around her pretty face. Gorgeous earrings and smart boots. The green tones are flattering and suit the event.
ReplyDelete@ Tara - well done, yet another negative comment about the Princess of Wales.
ReplyDelete@ Ava Pittman has it spot on!
Counting?
DeleteComme chaque année, le vert est de sortie dans ce manteau que je n’aurais pas vu ceinturé ; j’aime beaucoup ses bottines à bout effilé !
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. Those shoes look painful. The dog is always my favorite - one of my favorite events on the calendar each year just because of him!
ReplyDeleteAgree 11:39 about all points. There’s a profile shot of one of her boots and I don’t see how a normal human foot can be comfortable in this style.
