Queen Máxima Visits the Anne-Bo Foundation in Amsterdam

On March 11, 2026, Queen Máxima paid a working visit to the Anne-Bo Foundation at LAB111 in Amsterdam. The foundation focuses on girls for whom studying is not self-evident, for example because they grow up in poverty, have a refugee background, or come from the youth care system. Through a personal coach, scholarships, housing, study materials, a network, and workshops, they are supported during their studies.

Queen Máxima spoke with several students and their coaches about the guidance they receive and what the support means to them. She also spoke with residents of the Anne-Bo houses about their personal situations and the housing facilities. The Queen then joined the workshop “Financially Healthy Living,” an example of one of the activities of the Anne-Bo Academy.

The Queen looks youthful in this grey suit with matching slacks. The color is becoming and her great smile is the cherry on top. MR

  3. The jacket looks exceptionally good, the cut and fit splendid. This is well crafted, I love a beautifully tailored jacket.. The pants and vest look equally good.

    1. Hey yes you are right. I get the impression she let her hair grow. But, I join my voice on criticism about the trousers. Max Mara got it wrong. If they have to go that far to be original ... I wouldn't spend a penny on that.

Oh no MaxMara, how have you let your designer bring those trousers to market? Clownish on the model. Clownish on any woman. Maxima looks good in anything but this MaxMara suit - colour and design, but most especially the trousers - must be a MaxMara joke?

I like Maxima in this monochrome mid-grey, it has a very soft and gentle look -- a nice contrast to her bolder and brighter colour palettes which we are so familiar with.
I'm surprised that the matching waistcoat worn instead of a blouse looks so good, and I especially like that the jacket is short rather than long.
But wow, the pants! they have gathers on the outside of each knee. I would love to see more photos, or a video of this outfit in motion -- as I don't know what to think about such a detail added to a tweed suit. Lyra

To "waistcoat instead of blouse/shirt": and how good it looks! Queen Letizia wore it and it was terrific: https://www.queenletiziastyle.com/blog/queen-letizia-brings-back-the-3-piece-mango-suit-for-fad-meeting

  7. Désolée mais il n’y a que la veste de Maxima qui me plaise ; dans une couleur rouge, ce serait parfait !

Alright whilst she is sitting down - then - slightly puff sleeves on the jacket (awful), badly fitted on the shoulder(too long), matching waistcoat(adds bulk) and adds nothing intrinsically to the outfit, then the trousers(agree with @03:39), the colour - what colour? At least an effort has been made with the hair.

Jacket and waistcoat are good. Trousers are really too wide.
The whole ensemble looks more to be worn in the autumn and winter. But since early spring is not warm, I think she can wear it like this and she doesn't need a coat.

I was hoping to see just one photo without women in hair covering, but no such luck!

If one is living in The Netherlands or Belgium one is not surprised anymore to see women wearing shawls to cover their head (hair). A lot of young female students in secondary schools are wearing these shawls too. Women on the streets with their children are wearing them. The women who work for the cleaning companies are wearing them, etc ......
